10 High Tech Baby Gear Products

As a child, I am pretty sure my two favourite toys were a stuffed polar bear and a cardboard box. It was pretty easy to keep me happy and occupied. Nowadays, the world has opened up with a ton of new and exciting products that are a little more advanced than cardboard. Parents: it's time to embrace technology.

We're running a baby gear review of the week at the moment. So in that spirit, I thought we should round up a few of the crazy cool high tech baby gear currently available.

1. Apps: Whether you want to lull your baby to sleep or if you want something comprehensive and detailed to track feedings, moods etc., there's an app for everything. Take advantage.

2. Why Cry Baby Analyzer: Since they don't talk, this nifty device promises to decipher why your baby is crying simply by hearing him or her cry.

3. Aden + Anais Serenity Star: It's a multi-tasking must for any nursery. It combines an electronic feeding diary, room temperature indicator, sound machine, nightlight and clock.

4.Smart PJs: I wish they made these for adults. Scan the polka dots on the PJs with a smartphone and it tells you a night time story!

5. Pipila Pacifier UV Sterilizer: Because how many times do they drop it on the ground/subway/pavement?

6. Angelcare AC1100 Monitor: This product has a quality baby video and sound monitor with an under-the-mattress baby movement sensor pad for peace of mind.

7. Exmobaby Smart Garments: Onesies for infants that are developed for remote monitoring of heart rate, emotional state and behavior. Futuristic or what?

8. 4moms Origami Stroller: If the Batmobile was a stroller, this would be it. It folds up quickly with the touch of a button, is self charging, has lights and a cell phone charger and even an lcd monitor.

9. Carkoon: This isn't just any car seat. It's like a safety cocoon for your baby. When prompted, the shield lifts up to protect against flying glass.

10. Smart Diapers: Imagine diapers that could warn you about your baby's health!

Would you use any of these high tech products?

We have the older style of the AngelCare monitor... has the movement sensor pad and sound monitor, but no video. We absolutely love it! I think I would love the video one more though :-P
