Brow Envy: Celeb Brows and Products We Love

Posted by Alexandra C. | Wednesday June 26, 20139 comments

I have had a major case of brow envy lately. Everywhere I go, I constantly scope out other people's eyebrows. I know, it sounds weird, I can't help it though! I've got brows on the brain. I am a woman on a mission for the perfect brows.

You may remember, almost two years ago we pulled a beauty transformation with our brows and tried different shapes and colours for a before and after. The evidence was solid: brows make a world of difference. They act as a frame on your face, more specifically they frame your eyes. A strong brow makes for a focal point, bringing all the attention to those beautiful peepers! So chicks, can you really blame me for my brow obsession?

This spring, and moving into the fall, I'm looking to a few of my fave brow idols for inspiration.

I'm looking for a more natural, fuller shape but not over the top. Bushy, but still groomed; subtle but impactful. These ladies nailed it.

Some brow-tastic products to try:

1. Amazing Cosmetics Brow Gel (C$15.50)

2. Purely Pro Cosmetics Tinted Brow Fix (C$29.00)

3. Too Faced Brow Envy Brow Shaping & Defining Kit (C$41.00)

4. Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow (C$24.00)

5. NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Marker (C$12.00)

6. Paul & Joe Eyebrow Pencil Duo (C$22.00)

7. Sephora Collection Classic Brow Comb #11 (C$8.00)

8. Anatasia Brow Genius Kit (C$31.00)

How do you wear your brows? Do you have a brow idol?

I used to hate my slightly bushy brows as a child, but thanks to Cara and other models, I am loving them. :)

Although I find lily's brows are too much, I loooooooooooove Cara's :) she's brow queen for me! and if you're going for more natural ones, Liz Olsen is rocking it.

I actually happen to love the bushier, manly brows. It keeps a person looking young. You have the rest of your life to over pluck your brows and look old. I've always coveted Lily Collins brows, i think they're simply naturally gorgeous.

Camila Belle and Liz Olsen look great! Everyone else is either too dark or too ungroomed... hate the manly brow look. It's okay to grow them in a bit but tweeze under and shape them a bit!

The whole top row is a little too bold for my liking, but Olsen and Fanning look great to me...maybe it's just that they're blonde brows so they're less distracting. Brows definitely make a world of difference though, I usually just fill mine in with one of those Annabelle brow pencils, or just use a matte brown eyeshadow.

I agree with fredamans' comment. Olsen is the only one that looks plucked but not overly thin and still a little thick. Some of these brows are just a little too distracting.

Girls really need to be careful that they don't pencil/colour in their brows to thick. It doesn't flatter most faces to have extremely thick brows.

Sorry but I do not find anything attractive about bushy eyebrows. Full can be nice if they are still kept properly like Olsen's... but some of those girls could stand a touch up, tweezing or waxing.
