What better way to keep warm in the winter than to add a few extra layers?  The recipe you are about to discover will help you do just that, but instead of bundling up with extra clothing, it will be the extra fat that will keep you toasty. 

Now before you click away, you may just want to jot this recipe anyway because these cookies are so rich and delicious you'll probably be satisfied with just one a day, and the rich cocoa-y smells that will fill your kitchen when they are baking will be well worth it. If not, you can always bring them to work and fatten up your coworkers! 

This is ChickAdvisor member Creamsicle's famous cookie recipe that is a favourite in her home.  She shared it with us on our recent trip to Winnipeg.  Really it's a double chocolate cookie recipe but she jokingly refers to them as her 'Chocolate Heart Attack Cookies'.  Now go get a pen and paper!




Creamsicle's Chocolate Heart Attack Cookies a.k.a Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 Cups flour
2/3 Cup Cocoa
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt

Combine and set aside

1 1/3 Cup Butter (softened)  -- in case you were wondering, this would be the heart attack component.
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup White Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
2 eggs

Stir and add to flour mixture

Add 2 Cups Chocolate Chips

Bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes.  A little underdone is better.
