DIY Halloween Costume Pose-Off: Guess to Win!

This week, we're putting our best costumed feet forward for a Halloween Pose-Off! We're all ghoulish gals here at ChickAdvisor and, as you already know, we love dressing up and posing.

We challenged ourselves to go DIY this year. All of our costumes were shopped straight from our closets and embellished with cheap dollar store accessories. Because we're all about making it simple for you, these costumes also take minimal time and effort!

Shiori was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 'Birds' to create her 'Bird Lady' ensemble. Her black leggings and tank came from her closet, paired with a few black boas she found in our swag stash at ChickAdvisor HQ. To really bring her look together, she did an unusual hair do and detailed make up. Feathers and little birds were bought at the dollar store to create this unique Halloween costume!

Michelle bought this matching suit in a small patterned houndstooth a while back and thought it would be perfect for a detective costume as an homage to Sherlock Holmes! She also had a fedora on hand to pair with the suit for an authentic, retro feel. The magnifying glass was bought at the dollar store, and how 'bout that moustache?

Alexandra found this polka dot dress at a thrift shop and loved the idea of using it for a Minnie Mouse costume. She paired it with tights from our friends at Secret Legwear and her own silver Mary-Janes. Black costume ears from the dollar store and her mouse nose tops it off!

Mandy is impersonating a celebrity with her Halloween costume, but we aren't going to tell you who! She is wearing an oversized knit sweater, shawl, shades and never leaves home without her Louis Vuitton bag and a cup of coffee!
