Gratuitous Hottie Face Off: Matt Damon vs. Matthew McConaughey

This past summer, in honour of Father's Day, we did a round up of our 10 favourite celeb dads. I drew inspiration from this list and chose two of my personal crushes: Matt Damon and Matthew McConaughey. I decided that these gorge guys were going to go head to head in an battle of brawn and brains! Totalling three rounds, this competition will leave only one man standing. I anticipate that this Gratuitous Hotties Face Off will be an intense one- boys, take off your shirts and let the games begin! 

Round 1: Hotter dad?

Matthew McConaughey: Matthew has one major point in his corner for this round- topless beach photos with his baby (does this man not own a shirt?!). I am dying of cuteness here chicks!  
 
Matt Damon: Matt has a big advantage in this round as he was recently named Sexiest Family Man by Parade Magazine. Indeed, checking out (a.k.a. ogling and swooning over) pictures of him, his wife and family make me want to somehow 'get rid of' the wife and marry him myself. 

Winner: This one is a toughie. Seriously- both of these guys are like, crazy hot. However, this one goes to McConaughey for his slow, southern drawl that makes me weak in the knees. Although, Matt Damon does do a pretty good impression...
 
Round 2: Who gives that 'Awwww...' factor?

Matthew McConaughey: Disclaimer- I'm going to try and refrain from basing my decision solely on his beach bod photos. (But I can't promise anything.) I love seeing this photos of Matthew just letting his hair down, skateboarding and playing around- he's definitely a kid at heart, so sweet! 
 
Matt Damon: I just watched this video of Damon dressed as Santa and I want to marry this man, now, more than ever. And have you read this quote by Damon, about his kids, "“The only way I can describe it – it sounds stupid, but – at the end of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you know how his heart grows, like, five times its size? Everything is full; it’s just full all the time.” Girls, swooning is now in occurrence. (via justjared.com) 

Winner: I didn't have to think very hard about this one to be honest. Damon all the way for this round! I think it's all his charity work that really snagged it for me- he makes me want to bake him dessert and knit him a sweater. 

Round 3: Cuter animal lover?

Matthew McConaughey: Is there anything better than a hot guy with a cute animal? I don't think so. How epic is this picture of Matthew with a puppy? I wish I was this puppy. 
 
Matt Damon: Matt will be starring in a new movie due around Christmas called 'We Bought A Zoo'. It's about a (single!) father who, you guessed it, buys a zoo. Now- let me put this in perspective, the man, owns a zoo! A. Zoo. Single. Man. 

Winner: Another hard decision to make, but I'm ruling in favour of McConaughey on this one because I am pretty sure he knows how to ride horses and tame wild animals and swim with the dolphins and sharks, that's accurate right? 

Matthew McConaughey is our winner! Congrats Matthew- you and your abs and your scruff and your accents have earned this one.
