Gratuitous Hotties: Is it better with a beard?

Chicks, I have mentioned this before (I pretty much tell every person I meet this) but I can't tell you enough how much I love a good beard on a man. I would profess my love for beards from the mountain tops if I could. Every man should have a beard. It's always, always, always, better with a beard (in my humble opinion). 

I hope that I'm alone in my beardy love, though I do reluctantly admit that there are some ladies out there who aren't so keen on a bit of scruff. So, today I am putting you chicks up to the bearded challenge. I've rounded up 10 hotties, with and without their facial hair. I want you to help me finally put this debate to rest: are the boys truly better with a beard?

Hottie #1: Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal is in my top 5 all time hottest celebs and I can't get enough of him in his beard. He was recently in Toronto filming a movie and I strategically plotted out my stalking points, that is how much I love him and his beard. 

Hottie #2: Zac Efron

I'm not a huge fan of the Efron to begin with so I am a bit biased here. He's too baby faced for me. Add a beard and it seems like he is just trying too hard. What do you think? 

Hottie #3: Prince William

Here's the thing about Prince William and his beard: I like it on him. He looks pretty badass in it, I won't lie. But, he looks way classier without it and I kind of feel like a prince should be classy, rather than badass. It's a toss up for me. 

Hottie #4: Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth is married. But in my fantasy life, it is to me. He is a gorgeous male specimen. And scruff or a full out beard bring out his manly and chiselled looks. 

Hottie #5: Ben Affleck

I think the usual consensus on Ben is that he looks better without the beard, but I'm actually going to come out and say that I love the hair on him. I think it makes him look more rugged. The clean shaven look is more professional and put together but I think a bit of manliness does him good. 

Hottie #6: Michael Fassbender

Be still my beating heart, Michael Fassbender. You sir, are a sexy man. I watched Jane Eyre, solely for the purpose of seeing Michael play Mr. Rochester. He had a beard in that movie, therefore, I went weak in the knees. 

Hottie #7: Justin Timberlake

Is it just me, or does a beardless JT have a serious case of crazy eyes? It just looks so unnatural. He needs a permanent 5 o'clock shadow. 

Hottie #8: Penn Badgley

Say what you will about Penn Badgley, the man knows how to grow a beard. It's a bit over the top, especially with that curly mop of hair, but I'm going to let it slide because that luscious beard is magical. 
 
Hottie #9: Christian Bale

So, I realize that he has a bit of scruff in his clean shaven picture, but when we're comparing it to his beard, it's still a huge difference. I actually like the bearded look (I'm weird like that). However, it does age him considerably. 
 
Hottie #10: Ashton Kutcher

This one truly has me stumped. Bearded Ashton is hot, don't get me wrong but this look is a bit too hippy chic for me. The clean shaven look shows off that great jawline of his, but I think my favourite look is somewhere in between the two.

So chicks, what's the verdict? Is it better with a beard? Which one of these guys is your favourite and do they look better clean shaven or scruffy?
