Hairstyle Pose Off: Chignons and Buns Edition- Comment to Win!

Was that an off duty ballerina that just walked by or a ChickAdvisor staffer?
This week we're posing off in chic chignons and twisted topknots as we take on one of the trendier hairstyles: the bun. The basic bun isn't anything new, but with a resurgence in popularity these past few seasons, we decided to try out a few revamped styles perfect for a special night out or as a cute casual style.
Mandy

Mandy used this as inspiration for her ballerina bun. We love that it's all business in the front and party in the back with the sweet braided detailing. It's a fabulously fun play on the bun and works for long hair of different textures.
Alexandra

Alexandra's topknot is a simple take on the standard bun. She teased her hair to give it fullness and texture, then wrapped and twisted it around. She secured this with a Goody Spin Pin for an everyday look.
Michelle

Michelle's chignon takes a simple style to the next step with adorable twists on either side. This look is classic enough to wear at the office but we think this is a serious candidate for her upcoming wedding (hint hint Michelle- we like this one best)!
Lorna

Lorna braided her hair on each side and pulled it all together into a chignon at the nape of her neck. Done a bit messy, this look is an easy go to style for the weekend but if done polished and put together is an elegent option.
Which of these chicks suits her bun hairstyle best? Leave us a comment by February 5th to be entered to win a prize!

I personally love Lorna's! It looks so laid back yet elegant at the same time! I can braid my hair very easily and I love the fact that it does not need to look perfect :) All of these ladies look GORGEOUS though :D | |
