It's that time again: time to cattily assess Red Carpet fashion from the first major awards show of 2012 - the People's Choice Awards. And so, without further ado...

Best Dressed

Kristen Bell, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence

Girl-crush Emma Stone wore a stunning green blazer, perfect for her colouring. We're also glad to see Jennifer Lawrence take a bit of a risk this year after boring us a bit last awards season.

Laces & Sheers

Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Greene

Lace- and sheer-paneled necklines were stunning on many celebs. Ashley Greene's leather dress was a particular standout, while Miley Cyrus's fuchsia Jimmy Choos and Little White Dress were refreshing on the controversial starlet.

Hair: the Good, the Bad, the WTF??

PCA host Kaley Cuoco's (left) hair reminded of Heather Locklear in Melrose Place but for the ombre update. I'm not sure that I'm much a fan of Demi Lovato's (right) Fran Drescher 'do either.

While Cobie Smulders (left) and Ginnifer Goodwin (below) opted for sleek sophistication, Kelly Osbourne's (right) grays gave us the bigtime blues.

Worst Dressed

Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lucy Hale

I really wanted to love Ginnifer Goodwin's dress - the colour is stunning and the silhouette flatters. But then I looked at those sleeves and fell promptly out of love. Jennifer Morrison's dress is being panned across the blogosphere for its lampshade tassels, and Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale's cut-out dress feels confusing.

Of course, fashion wasn't the only news of the night. Some men were there who also wore outfits, and then there were awards. Among the many winners:
