Last but not least, we want to give a special shout-out to a few other products that particularly impressed us at ChickAdvisor HQ.  Here are our individual Editor's Choice Awards picks for 2012:

Alexandra's PickMake Up For Ever Aqua Rouge
This is an incredibly long-lasting and pigmented lip colour. The liquid lipstick end is very matte but there is a clear gloss end for more impact. I love that this is an all purpose lip colour, for work or a night out when I don't want to worry about reapplying.

Claire's Pick: Vichy ProEVEN Mineral BB Cream
I had been very loyal to my tinted moisturizer but lately found it wasn't up to the task.  I just discovered this BB Cream and I'm thrilled with the natural-looking coverage and balanced matte finish despite my combination skin.

Mandy's PickSamsung Galaxy Note 2
This phone is everything I need on the go and more: a 5.5-inch screen large enough to browse and watch videos, a quad-core processor that allows me to multitask, and really amazing battery life. Although the phone is significantly larger than traditional smart phones, It's still light and thin enough to conveniently carry it around.

Ali's PickNest Learning Thermostat
This thermostat quickly learns your heating/cooling patterns and is able to automatically adjust to your preferences.  My favourite feature is the smartphone app which lets you remotely adjust the temperature if you're away.

We're curious: which product blew you away in 2012? Add your comment below or post your review here!

My favorite product I discovered in 2012 was the Physicians Formula Eyelash Boosting Eyeliner.

There are so many of these products I love...especially the Nutrogena Ultra Sheer Sim Screen! It has become one of my favorite products! I also really enjoyed Chickadvisors segment on BT Toronto the other day!

There was so many great new products out last year that I can't pick just one as my favorite. I can't wait to try the CC Creams and I can't imagine what else they have in store for us this year. If its anything like last year its going to be a great one for us ladies!!

Great picks!

I want to try the MUFE Aqua Rouge so bad, especially the classic red shade!

@Becky - you just made me want to go shopping! And my makeup drawer is too full as it is.

@Fredamans - CC creams are so new most people haven't had the chance to try them yet (unless you're south of the border). Many brands are just going to be releasing them for 2013. I know some that are just about to release new BB creams too.

CC creams are more about colour correction and have a thicker coverage than BB creams, which are a light coverage all in one product. If you prefer thicker coverage than a CC cream will be your new best friend ;)

Great products. I think 2012's major thing was the BB Cream, i'm interested to see what 2013 throws at us! (And more than just the CC Cream haha)

My favorite soap, toothpaste, mascara and tampons.
Am I the only one who prefers a CC over a BB cream???!!

2012 came out with a ton of great products! I'm not sure which I would say really stands out... Okay I'm going to cheat quite a bit and say the new Sephora @ Eatons that was launched in 2012 truly stands out in my mind. That location has so many products that we could only dream about sitting in Canada. Love that location <3

Thanks to that location, I've discovered a few things in 2012 that I didn't know of before so those do stand out for me, product wise.

Illamasqua Blushes - whether cream or powder - are AMAZING. You have to try it to see what I mean. It goes on so flawlessly, never looks patchy and the colours last the whole entire day, night, up to the next day and until I wash it off. These blushes are my HG blushes, and they're also the #1 of stand out products of 2012 imo.

Becca Illuminators are the absolute be all and end all of highlighters/illuminators. They're not sparkly, metallic, or plasticy/fake looking. A teensy pin-drop goes a long way, so although the illuminator costs a lot (about $50), it'll last you your entire life.

Kat Von D tattoo foundation is another amazing product. That thing stays put perfectly. A day later it's just as fresh as when I applied it (I know that's very bad for my skin but I did it as a test). Apply this with the beauty blender and you won't be able to take your eyes off yourself.

I really liked Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation. So light yet so flawless full coverage; boggles the mind.

I'm on the hunt for the HG eye cream if such a thing exists. If any stands out for you guys please reply back :)
