Spring Jacket Must-Have: The Anorak

Posted by Siofan | Monday May 2, 20116 comments

We're still majorly crushing on trench coats this spring, but for those days when we want something more sporty, we're opting for the city safari anorak. In muted khaki, washed tan and deep navy these coats pair well with bright colours or muted neutrals. Whether you go short or long, this slouchy jacket will be a piece you'll wear again in the fall.

These short anoraks and safari toppers can take on whatever shape you like, cinch in for a fitted shape or leave it loose and slouchy. We love them with the sleeves rolled up and paired with a summer scarf.

4. Banana Republic Patch Pocket Shirt Jacket C$124.00
5. Maison Scotch Short Parka With Drawstring Waist C$329.49
6. Lauren By Ralph Lauren Maribel Taffeta Anorak C$167.30

A longer, parka-style anorak will keep you dry on rainy days with no fussy belt to fiddle with. Over-sized pockets can even stash an umbrella between showers.

I love the classic trench, but I think it's nice to have a shorter or sportier jacket when you're feeling a little more casual or your running all over the place. I like a lot of these army inspired looks... great round up!

Love these! I have a longer style that I got at H&M;last year for about $50. It's really easy to wear and has a hood, which I love.

Now the anorak is something I can embrace. I'm a casual girl and these speak to me!
