I went on a blind date with a man named Matthew when I was 18. At first all seemed well, but the date quickly took a turn for the worst. He told me that we were just stopping at his house before going for dinner so he could quickly change and asked if I would come in because his parents wanted to meet the woman he was going to be going out with. I agreed and when we got inside he locked me in the basement, took my cell phone and told me that he wasn't going to let me go until I had intercourse with him. I refused and developed a good strategy to escape. I started to take shots with him, he was taking shots and I was pretending to, I had filled the bottle I was pouring from with water. He quickly got drunk and I was able to get home and call the police. I learned a very important lesson that day, and I am sooo grateful that he lived so close to a bus stop!
