Thank you for responding to my enquiry. That is very interesting. I work for Dufferin Peel Catholic as an DECE. I supplied for about ten years as a ERW (Educational Resource Worker) before I switched over to a permanent position as a DECE. I found it very depressing working with special needs children because with some of the students that I worked with, I saw very little progress in them over several years that I worked with them. I needed something that I would see more rewarding results over months, rather than years. I find my new position extremely rewarding because I love working with kindergarten students!!
