|no tips... on Mar 22, 2008 @ 10:05 pm|
I don't really have any tips, just wanted to mention the whole being able to target a specific area to lose weight is a myth. You can target certain areas to build muscle and tone up - but if losing weight/inches is the goal there are no targeted exercises for that. Just a good whole body workout will do the trick - even if all you do is a good walk, as long as you're burning calories.

One of the best ways to meet both your cardio and zone needs is cycling. That is how I lost all my baby weight the first time around and was in the best shape of my life! Rollerblading is also really good.
|The Stomach is hard to lose though on Mar 23, 2008 @ 01:52 pm|
I find the stomach is the hardest to lose. And after losing the weight, there is not enough stuffing in the butt. It now hurts to sit for long.

FR is right. You can't really target, but there are certain exercises you can do to build up certain areas. Squats with weight area good way to perk up the butt and abs are the only way to define those muscles. Crunches are a good way to do it and easy because you can do them every night before bed. A full body workout will be necessary to get any real results though.

you'll need to do both, cardio and strength training. Regular cardio like jogging/runing 20-30 minutes depending on what you can handle, cycling is perfect you lose weight and build muscle at the same time. Then do a lot of squats, deadlifts, lunges, to tone your butt, if you want to uild it up tho you'll need to up your protein intake, and for abs just do typical ab exercises, i.e crunches, cycle crunches, etc. it will take a lot of effort and commitment, but if you do this for a month straight you will see definite results! even after just two weeks, but you got to stick to your regime, and eat healthy of course.

Yeah thats what exactly i was thinking today. I am just thinking where to get shorts and t-shirt to prepare for the run. My friend who has great abs told me that he does like a thousdand of small crunches a day. I wonder if i can even commit to half that haha.
