I was using Proactiv but stopped using it, I was pretty happy with it
even though it's very drying but it is pretty expensive. I've heard
many great reviews from Mario Badescu products and recently got some
free samples and I'm trying them. I really need help in making a
decision if to go ahead and buy his full size products to keep treating
my acne even though my face is still not clear from pimples cause I just
started using M.B. I will eventually run out from the samples and will
need to order to keep using his products and see if it clears up my
skin, or go back to Proactiv..? I want to know if it'll be worth my
money...don't want to end up spending more money to go back to Proactiv
at the end. Anyone uses Mario Badescu..? How long
does it take to clear up the acne? I get desperate every time I see my
face cause I want it clear again and I'm trying not to stress cause I
know it will make it worst.
have lots of very small pimples, no white heads like around my jaw
line, just a few on the chin that have white heads. Some acne scars that
make it look worst because after the pimple it gets dry and leaves like
a round red patch. I'm using the Drying Lotion every night. I have
combination skin but it's mostly on the dry side.
Mario Badescu's products don't dry me out more with a good moisturizer,
it's just my acne that I want to get rid of again. Need some help from

for about two years now and just love it. You do have try different thing to get the products that are right for you though. I got lucky and found a store that wasn't to far away from my home that was selling Mario. The girl's in there were great, I told them what was giving me a hard time and they not only suggested different products that they thought would work best for me, they gave me samples to try before I bought any thing. Have you bin to the Mario Badescu web site? If you go on there they have a place where you can see what stores carry they're products in Canada. The store I was going to isn't open any more, but I can still order from them on line. I'm in Windsor, but the store's name is La Te Da Beauty Bar if you'd like to try them. I'm not sure if they will send you samples to try before you buy on line because I haven't needed to replace anything as of yet. If you give them a call I'm sure they'd let you know. I think there's three places in Toronto that carry s Mario products, a few in B.C. and some others. From what I was told Mario Badescu doesn't just let any store carry his products, they have to go through like a five year look over before he make up his mind about it. So they're aren't many place in Canada that have it in they're stores, it's mostly in salons. I started by getting free samples from the Mario web site. They sent me like eight different things to try and they were nice size samples, but they only do that once. I've email them and one of the girls that works in they New York salon emailed me back with a list of every thing she thought would work best for me, so you can also try that. The real nice thing about they're products other then they work!! Is that they last a real long time. You only need a small amount of each thing. Most stuff will last you any where from five to ten months depending on how much you use each time you use it and what the product is. The eye cream comes in a small container, but I've made my last one last over six months. The face lotions last the longest because like I said you only need a small amount.
I really think that if you like what you have tried so far you should go to the Mario Badescu web site and find a store near you, or look on all the web site that carry it in Canada. Find the one that's the cheapest for you because they don't all sell it at the same price, they don't all carry every thing you might need and they all have different shipping and payment options. The Mario web site just started taking Pay Pal a few months back if that helps, but if you have to order it right from Mario they charge you a shipping fee and if anything has SPF in it, you may not get it at all! Even if it was shipped to you. The boarder won't let it across for some reason. The girl's at La Te Da told me that when I first start buying from them. They said once in a blue moon something might slip by them, but they could never get a shipment of anything with SPF in it to they're store. Most of all you should email them and ask for help. They will email you back with in a few days.
I hope I was of some help to you. Let me know if you have any more question, or need any more help and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a nice day.
|They are okay, but not worth it for the price! on Jul 13, 2010 @ 01:01 am|
I reciever 6 samples from them (check out their site, fill out the skin analysis and they will send you an email asking if you want samples!).

I did get the samples and been using them for a week now and I do agree that they are ok, nothing so special and amazing like what I expected from all the reviews on their website in my opinion. I think the Drying Cream works better than the Drying Lotion in getting those pimples dry. The Drying Cream is pretty drying that it leaves me with flaky skin after. So I decided to stick with Proactiv.

My sister is in the same boat as you. She used Proactiv for years then decided she wanted a change so has been using Mario Badescu products for about 2 months now. Honestly, her skin has gone a bit downhill since the switch. She has a lot of small pimples all over her forehead that she didn't have when using Proactiv.
Obviously everyone's skin is different and what works for some may not work for others and vice versa.
