Best cleanser for Combination/Dry skin? on Jun 15, 2015 @ 05:15 pm
#Olay "Foaming Face Wash Sensitive" is the brand I really like it is oil free and also contains no soap. I find it foams well so I love using it with my #ClarisonicMia2 it leaves my skin so soft without irritation. I also have combination skin. This works well for me.

L'occitane Foaming cleanser is one of the best brands out there. My skin is so soft!

I love Lush's products but I use the ones for oily skin because that's my problem you should walk in there and ask what's good for dry skin all their products are amazing they have scrubs, masks, daily cleaners, etc! Every thing is made from natural products! It's amazing if you haven't heard already you should check it out
BEST CLEANSER FOR COMBINATION/DRY SKIN? on Jun 16, 2015 @ 01:22 am
Have you tried any of the First Aid Beauty cleansers? I really like the red clay version but I have combo/oily skin. The blue label one (can't think of the exact name off hand) is also really good and might be better for combo/dry skin.

I can't use the red clay version because I am allergic to camomile and there is camomile in that one but I will give the original blue labeled one a try. Thank you:)

Mac Cosmetics Cleansing Oil or Vichy Foam Cleanser on Jun 16, 2015 @ 12:10 pm
I have incredibly dry skin and sometimes combination, depending what the season is (living in a very cold and dry climate). I find that Vichy's foaming cleanser (pink bottle) is quite nice for removing makeup, getting fully clean, and it lasts for a long time. I'll balance that with using Mac's cleansing oil every couple of washes - letting it really massage into your skin before washing it off. Josie Maran's cleansing oil is also quite nice for dry skin, but a lot thicker and can feel heavier (so I use it only for when my day is near it's end and I won't be touching my face/putting any more makeup on).
Finally, I have to recommend using coconut oil (sounds weird, I know) as a makeup remover - it does a better job than many storebought products, is a weird magical moisturizer/sunscreen as well, and doesn't go rancid for many years. Nutriva is the brand I buy.

you can also try La Roche Posay products. It's pricey but worth every penny.
Thanks for the suggestions! on Jun 16, 2015 @ 12:47 pm
I have tried the Vichy Foam cleanser and found that it really dried my skin out and Mac breaks me out. Thank you for the suggestion though! I have tried a La Roche Posey face cream before and loved it so I'm sure the cleanser is great too. Will try it sometime. Thank you :)
Clinique Acne Solutions on Jun 16, 2015 @ 02:58 pm
My oldest Daughter experiences the same issues and we found that the Acne Solutions Line from Clinique really made a difference in her skin. Cleansed with greatly reduced break outs and no dry outs! You can purchase the Acne Solutuions Clear Skin System Starter Kit for about $40 which contains the Cleansing Foam, Clarifying Lotion and Clearing Moisturizer if you wanted to give it a try. Good Luck!
