These are my #1 beauty enemy.
I have the tools, the masks, exfoliators, cleansers, etc. Everything one would need to get rid of these awful things and nothing is working. I'm going to try a yogurt mask this weekend and another exfoliating product I picked up (charcoal seems to be the latest trend) and some biore face strip (they're on my cheeks).
I am beyond frustrated. What else can I do to get rid of these things and keep them away?
I remove my makeup before bed, use exfoliating wipes, practicality any product or tool you can think of and nothing!! I don't even have oily skin!
I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay for a facial.

Use one part apple cider vinegar to three parts water. Use cotton balls to apply to face; do this about three times a day.It will definitely make a huge difference.

There's this gelatin mask you can make with regular non flavoured gelatin and some warm milk. It's a peel off mask, apparently it works wonders. I have blackheads on my nose that won't come out with the pore strips, so I'm going to give this mask a try this weekend.

I tried this mask once, it didn't remove my black heads but it did wonders to my skin- all those dead cells were removed. It was like having a facial!
|I also tried.. on Mar 20, 2016 @ 08:51 am|
that gelatin mask and I didn't have any luck with it. Its my biggest probable as well and nothing seems to work for me. I was just going to ask about this when I saw your post.
Have any of you ever tried that Pro-Active blackhead dissolving stuff you see advertised on TV?
I've been wondering about it for a long time, but you have to buy the kit to get that product and I really don't want to do that. Please let me know if any of you have used it, how it worked for you and if you were able to buy it on its own some where.

I haven't heard of that system. Last night I tried a different skincare routine before bed.
1. Deep cleanse with Biore deep pore charcoal cleanser
2. Dermatouch M.E.D. blemish clear used with a round facial scrub cloth made of natural cotton
3. Clarins super restorative total eye concentrate
4. Evital ener-c nutrifying cream (BIG MISTAKE - my face BURNED after applying this so no more using after deep cleaning pores!!!)
5. To counter effect the burn I used a gentle facial oil:Kensington apothecary facial oil #2
6. Clarins hydra quench cream
7. Estee Lauder perfectionist CP R wrinkle lifting firming serum
My face calmed down after step 6&7;but was still sensitive
So, this morning my face is soft and smooth with some irritation on the cheeks (my blackhead zone)
Tonight I will try the yogurt mask after a very simple and gentle cleanse and M.E.D. blemish clear. After the mask I will apply just a simple, calming nighttime moisturizer.
Lesson learned about the evital ener-c!!! It's not going near my skin for awhile!!!
Altogether, the biore charcoal cleanser and MED was the best. The biore felt really deep cleaning and like it was doing something. It was refreshing and cooling. Definitely recommended.
1. I cleansed first with a wipe - Good Things total wipe out with superfruit extracts (so fresh and clean! And soothing on my irritated skin)
2. I cleansed with the biore charcoal cleanser, also refreshing and felt cool on my skin
3.SkinLab lift and firm eye gel
4. Vichy Idealia life serum which ran out after two pumps boooooooo! So I finished with vichy Idealia skin sleep just bc that's what was near and I know it's calming and gentle on my skin.
Lucky me, I woke up with a pimple on my upper lip. I'm pretending it's a glamorous mole a la cindy Crawford...
I will post pics in my gallery of my skin this morning after last night's fiasco and this morning's treatment so you can see the inflammation and also the smooth hydrated areas. It isn't pretty so be forewarned LOL

You sure do use a lot of products on your skin and I'm surprized you haven't seen Pro-Active advertised on TV. I don't think there's a day that goes by that I haven't seen at least one ad for it. Or do you mean just the Blackhead dissolving stuff? They've had it out for a while now and I've been curious about it since I saw it the first time. A few years ago there was a lady selling Pro-Active in our local mall, but wouldn't you know it, as soon as they had something I wanted to try, she was gone and I haven't seen her since. I've also tried the Biore charcoal nose strips, but they don't seem to do much for me. Most produces either dry me out to much, or they make my skin oilier than it already was with in a few hours of using it. This has been a part of my life for the last forty years or so and by the looks of things it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. Good luck to you and have a great day. :)

Personally, I have found that using a Clarisonic to deep clean my face as really helped with blackheads. This device is pricey though but has worked for me.
