Ok so I know that I have inhearited my mothers skin and I break out with pimples all the time! Near the monthly time is always worse then the rest of the month, but I just can't get rid of them. I have black heads, ones the are just huge and red, etc etc. I guess what I am looking for is a good product that can help me with this problem? I have tried so many out there and usally have that "hunny moon" period where it works great then it goes down hill. Can anyone suggest anything that might help??

I'm a few years older then you, 45, ok more then a few, but I have had the same problem all my life. So I know how you feel and how you feel about all the products out there. I've used so many different things I can't even remember all of them. Last Dec I finally broke down and paid the money for the new Olay Pro-X Clean Acne Protocol. It's bin working wonder's for me, although at first I thought I wasn't. Over time my skin as completely cleared, the black heads and everything are all gone after using everything in the kit for two months.
The only thing I don't like about this line is that you have to buy the whole kit just to get the clarifying cleaner and that's what you run out of first. I just bought a second kit last week, but I still have over half of the skin clearing treatment and the complexion renewing lotion sheer hydration left. I stretched the cleaners out as far as I could, I even used it ounce a day in stead of the twice a day. When you use the cleanser you really don't need a lot to wash your whole face, a little of all three go a long way, but like I said when I was getting close to the end of the cleanser I started only using it ounce a day and I used Mario Badescu's Glycolic foaming cleanser along with it. I also cut the end off of the Olay cleaner the other day and have bin able to get so much more out of the bottle then would come out of it. I was surprised at how much was actually left in the container that I thought was empty. So if you do buy this try that before you buy another kit. If you can spaer the extra money that the Olay kit costs then give it a try, I was very surprised at how well it has cleared my skin and has kept it clear for this long.
I just hope my skin doesn't turn around in the next few month and say ok I'm use to this now lets brake out all over again like it has so many times in the past with other products that I'v tried. I did a review for it, you can read about it here if you'd like to. I have a family to so I know how money can be tight sometimes, but if you can I'd definatley tell you to try it.

As mentioned by previous posters, there could potentially be a lot of causes behind your breakouts. One thing that I must tell you is to be VERY wary of 'adult acne' systems. Most products labeled/marketed for acne are WAY too drying and will strip your skin of moisture. Sometimes, these breakouts can be caused by dehydrated skin-or perhaps your skin is so sensitive that you will react to the detergents/ingredients in most cleansers. What kind of cosmetics do you use?
Do you have a spa/store in the area that focuses on sensitive skin or someone that you can speak with regarding 'dehydrated' skin? I would start there. A good routine with a thorough moisture boost may be all you need.

Thank you for all responces! Actually at this present moment meredithk115 I have stoped using cosmetics at this time to see if this helps.. so far no luck. I have tried so many products and you are right as an adult they do tend to dry out the skin and then I have a whole different problem!! I am going to look into the Olay product mentioned above ( since they do make a good product) and if that does not help I think you are right it is time to see someone about this. I am tired of wasting money on products that don't help or just makes matters worse!

If you do give the O'Lay products a try remember they do take awhile to
