your hair is light, so any colour you do should come out properly. If you want honey blondey brown then just apply a shade that matches closest to the colour you want.
if i misunderstand and your hair is actually dark then you need to use a shade that is a few shades lighter than the colour you want.
best bet is, go to the drugstore (shoppers drug mart, jean coutu, pharma plus, etc) and ask the beautician.
good luck :)

i wouldn't use a box colour because it doesn't always turn out the
right colour (plus that toxic smell in your house is really harsh).
just explain to the hairdresser the colour you want and she can show
you samples of different shades and help you pick one that will suit
you and one that can be realistically achieved.

I would go to the salon for the first visit to get a professional opinion and then you can probably maintain your roots on your own in between visits.

Especially if your hair has natural red tones in it you should seek the assistance of a professional. If you did it on your own you would probably go through a couple boxes because I can almost guarantee the right shade won't come out perfect on the first try.
Your hair is worth the money to get it done at a salon.
