wow, I don't do half the steps in that article, lol. I only cleanse, moisturize, conceal, apply foundation and brow, powder, occasional blush . No serum, no oil, no mascara, occassional eye liner, no bronzer, and no spf (i'm allergic to all chemical based SPF).

Always apply all your cream make then your powder. If u add cream then powder then cream it will not sit right on your face! And for me I don't always apply make up, but when I do it apply it all

@gaumum - wow you're allergic to spf? You must have to really cover up in the summer especially. That's terrible... I I'm sorry to hear that. I'm kind of like you - minimal makeup most days but I do use lots of skincare products - although not always all at the same time. I LOVE oils and serums. I can't do without them! You should really give them a try especially if you have dry skin. I use lots of oils on my hair and body too. They make dry oils as well.
@Kelly - lol l hear you. It's a mess if you use cream and powder and don't know what you're doing. I use mostly cream based products if I wear them at all (contour, blush, eyeshadow). Sometimes I will wear powder shadow by itself or use cream then add powder on top for more staying power - especially for a night out or with any type of sparkle. Other than that I use powder to set everything . I know there's a spray for setting makeup that people rave about but I haven't tried it yet. Have you?

@greekbymarriage ... I do have to cover up in the summer ... I usually wear a big brim hat or stay in the shade. But I did find an spf that is all natural ingredients (zinc oxide and titanium oxide or bith natural spf's) ...but I choose not to put that on my face as it leaves a white cast. As for setting spray ... I'm considering trying one but don't know what is good out there...generally though, I feel the less products on my face, the better.

@gaumum - I feel so bad for you. Sometimes when I'm on antibiotics I have to cover up and stay out of the sun and I hate it. Not to tan but just to feel the warmth and feel happy. Good thing big floppy hats are so awesome and fashionable! It's good you can wear natural but you're right, anything with zinc would be white looking :(
@alyssha - wow you've got it down to a science lol. I don't wear a lot of foundation either. Only when I want a lot of coverage if I'm going out. I need concealer for my dark circles though. Kudos to you for having the patience to really commit to your routine. I'm so lazy I like to just skip it some days. Can't ever skip my skincare routine though. I'm getting old haha

I don't think there's one correct way for something as subjective as makeup. I do what I'm comfortable with. I find it's easier to blend powder blush if I powder my cheeks after foundation but that's just me. To each their own.
