I have dry skin so,I have to use a lot of moisturizer creams on my Hands and actually all over I use moisturizer creams. My problem is my hands and fingernails. My hands get so dry ,they crack like paper cuts and they really hurt,as for my fingernails, they are always cracking and chipping,My nails are very brittle and I guess that is why they crack and chip.I have used all sorts of creams and oils on them to try and make them stronger but, nothing seems to work.It spoils the look of my nails when I use nail Polish.I've even tried Nail Hardner and Nail Strengthner and still that don't work.I was wondering if any of you Chicks had any ideas on what I could try on my Hands and Nails.I'm at the point where any tips, I'm willing to try.Thanks.

|The Best Cure for Extremely Dry/Brittle Nails (and Skin & Hair Too) on Jan 19, 2015 @ 10:49 pm|
The best cure for dry skin and brittle nails is 100% Coconut Oil.
This can be purchased from a health store, or even at your local supermarket. The cheapest spot I have found is the Bulk Barn Store.
It is wonderous in dry hair as well, but be sure to apply a very rhin coat to the area you wish to add moisture to (hair, skin or nails.) And use this product to replenish lost moisture to extremely dry hands by placing a dollop into the palm of your hands and puting a pair of latex gloves or even a pair of socks over your hands prior to gping to bed at night.
By morning when you remove the gloves (or sock) you will see miraculously soft, moisturized hands and nails!!! Trust me on this one. My hands seem to take a toll especially in the winter time.

My husband's nails get so bad in Winter. I bought him a little tub of O'Keefe's for dry skin. It's in a green round disc. It's less than $5 and works wonders. Put in on several times a day especially where they are cracked. His hands look wonderful. I got it at Walmart. In Winter, you need a thick cream and not a lotion, since they are lightweight

Do you know if this helps thin, weak nails that split? Have you tried it yourself or is it something you heard?
