Damaged hair

I'm trying to grow my hair out and whatever I try never works. I barley use heat on it and I still end up getting split ends. I use hair treatment( it's from Walmart so it may not be that great) and trim my hair every 6 weeks but it still doesn't grow, any ideas?

Coconut oil is great for hair. Make sure it is not refined. Use it 2-3 times a week, it grows your hair and gets rid of split hairs.

Hey Emlou, Ok so you definitely need to do micro trims every 6 weeks, which is basically 1/4 of an inch, next to nothing coming off. This way it promotes new hair growth. Nothing more, You should pick up some supplies from Sally beauty supply! I love the One n Only line. It's argan moroccan oils and it smells amazing. It leaves the hair feeling really soft and transformed. Keep sticking to braids or anything that doesn't require heat to style. Try to let your hair air dry if possible. Drying with the blow dryer can dry hair out easily! Also try and find a salon near you that offers Olaplex hair treatments! They really do repair the hair from the inside not just leaving it feeling nice! If you have any other questions, please let me know! Thanks

No sulfate on Feb 15, 2016 @ 07:55 pm

Use shampoo and conditioner, that has no sulfate.. That way your hair doesn't get stripped..
Also coconut oil works as well

I to am having a lot of problems with my hair thinning Emlou.I have tried just about everything I can think of.I believe a lot of my thinning hair is because I'm going through menopause and, they say you go through a lot of changes during this time in life.I trim my hair about every si weeks and when I use conditioner on my hair,I leave it on for about 20 minutes and not five.I never use my hair dryer and I stopped using my hot curlers a couple months ago.I don't know what's next maybe Rogain for women,I don't know if that is any good or not.Has anyone here used Rogain for women and if so,what do you think of it?

Well I am in the same boat as you! I have bleached, damaged hair that ive now dyed a dark brown lol I still have dry hair with split ends and ive found using the Argan oil or keratin protein oil from Walmart works really really well :) Its by the brand Hask and you can buy it in a small tube or package for about $3.00. The package looks small but it lasts a lonng time since you dont have to use too much. It works so well after the shower on wet hair.. hope that helps! :)
