I was wondering how many products people actually buy as a result of getting to sample it?
For me, there have been quite a few. Most recently it was Dove shampoo and conditioner. I didn't even know Dove made hair products. I was given the opportunity to sample them and I loved them. I have been buying them ever since.
I'm guessing that will be the same for the Vichy products. So far I am loving them.
It really is a great way to bring awareness to new products!!

Sometimes i have gotten a sample i didn't even know was on teh market. Sometimes i liked it, sometimes not. Yes indeed if i liked what i got i bought it after. It's a great way of being intrioduced to new things for sure.

I'm such a beauty junkie, especially with skincare products. The pink Vichy line (Idealia, I think), is the first product I ever received from Chick Advisor. I just ran out and I do not care how much it costs, the two items I tried were so amazing and lasted so long that I will most definitely buy it again and again. It's now a staple. Also, there have been several eyeshadows, hand creams, lines of brushes (Crown & Sigma) that are amazing but pricey, but are great investments. Nivea lip balm. Pur lisse face mask sheets, keratin single use foot and hand plastic covered overnight treatments (wonderful), Tarte lippies, bronze eyeliner. Some indie brands. Hmmmm. ..I know there are a lot more but yes, I have (and will once they're gone) buy the products I loved.
I also won a Shishedo Ibuki skincare set from Dave Lackie's giveaways (luxury beauty giveaways, enter his contests if you haven't already -they are soooooooooooooo awesome). I LOVE the set, especially the sleep mask, which isn't a mask at all but a huge jar of wet, watery, lightly scented face goop (it's not a serum, oil or lotion - it's a goopy, water based product) that goes on so smoothly and SINKS right into your skin. You wake up so intensely hydrated. It's amazing stuff. But I just cannot justify the price tag when I've found other hydrating products in a much lower price range. That luxe beauty line is just wayyyyy too expensive for me.
Chick Advisor and the beauty boxes I get (as well as from reading reviews from others) does make me buy the products.
@kookai, what Vichy products did you just get? I haven't received mine yet (I'm really hoping I get them tomorrow). I think I'm getting the thermal set. I forget now.

I'm a product junkie, I would fall in love with a sample and then go out there and try to buy them. Sometimes its tough if the product is too new, than it's really hard to find them. Yes, I would totally go out to buy them, that's why I love samples. :)
P.S. Oh the Vichy water spray! Never thought I would love somethings like a spray that is water. OMG, it's such a good find. :)

I'm still pretty new here - got selected for three campaigns. So far, I've gotten the Dove line of hair care products, the Adrien Gagnon energy bars and supplement, and the Arm & Hammer cat litter.
The Dove shampoo and conditioner I also loved so much I had to buy them when they ran out, which wasn't too long ago! They really last a while.
The Adrien Gagnon products, while I really did like them - I have not purchased them after the trials ran out. I just haven't seen them.
The litter I have not bought again, mostly because it's not sold in this town. The box that did get tested was bought an hour drive away. If I ever stumble across it here in town, I will most likely buy it again. It has a pretty hefty price tag - but the stuff really works so I can see myself buying it in the future.
After looking all around the site for older campaigns, and trying to keep up with the Brand Challenges, I've gone out and bought a few of those products just so I could also have the experience.
So far, after seeing the product reviewed by other Chick's here on ChickAdvisor, I've purchased:
Vichy Thermal Lips Soothing & Repairing Balm; Blackberry Ginger Ale; Always Radiant Pads; OxiClean Laundry Detergent; Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bars; and Brookside Fruit & Nut Bars
On my list to buy in the future that Chick's were lucky enough to try in the past here on CA:
Kellogg's Special K Popcorn Chips; Quaker Harvest Crunch Quinoa Bars; Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Spinbrush Toothbrush

For me personally, sampling leads to buying if I like the products.
You try a sample shampoo, you buy it, especially if it is on sale
I recently went to shoppers drug mart and saw the garnier shampoo and conditioner sample I received in the mail and it was on sale!!
Plus had the coupon from the sampling promotion, so it was perfect!!
I stocked up.
I like to personally keep a list of all items I sampled and if I like on my to buy list esp. when on sale, to be on the look out

fly_eyez I received the Vichy body milk, the shower wash and the lip plumper. I haven't reviewed it yet because I haven't had it very long. I am loving the body milk and shower gel I like the lip plumper but need to use it more to give an honest opinion. I posted a pic on Twitter. I will send you a link when I get off work. Hope you have an awesome day. I loved hearing what you thought about my question!!
|Samples work! on Jul 04, 2016 @ 09:48 am|
sampling products for me usually always leads to full size purchases. There have been countless times where I have tried something and immediately within days have bought the item. I have not been selected yet for any Chick Advidor campaigns but have been involved with a few others like Sample Source, Hometesters, and then getting random samples with purchases. I do believe the theory is well proven that there is a high probability one will go out to buy after given an op to sample it. It's a great way to let people try things. I am a product junkie so in many cases I'm lured by packaging and media and I can't fight the urge to try it!I have to have it Lol! It's fun to see and be the first to have it in your hands.

I have purchased a lot of products after sampling. Something about the confidence a company shows when offering a sample makes me think they are pretty convinced I will buy it. Also, I do talk about the products in my "real life". A good example of that is the Arm n Hammer kitty litter. I personally liked the product, but find it a little pricy for me, however, many of my patients have cats, and are old/sick , and the lighter litter is a great advantage to them. The Mabel's labels ca,Paige, which I did not even apply for, triggered a thought for them as well...many people in a retire home must label their clothing as staff does their laundry, so I keep their contact info in my agenda, and recommend them to new residents or their families, after reading your reviews.
I think that we can become complacent in outr purchasing. I rarely watch live TV, so zip past commercials on the PVR, and am often not aware of new products, so just go with the tried and true. Having a chance to learn about, see, touch, taste something new often changes that.

I buy a few items after trying it out. It's usually if I am truly in love with a product or that it was a complete life changer. Most recent item I purchased came through reviewing a product from here - the Simple Skincare wipes, cleanser, and moisturizer. My skincare routine went from 15 minutes and a 1001 products to a short 5 minutes.

If it is a good product I will purchase it for sure. I enjoy getting samples and coupons that allow me to try them out before spending the money to find out I didn't like the product.
