Just wondering for those who use Essie products... Is it worth the cost? I see the cute advertisements in magazines and some of the colors do look cute but it costs between $8 and $10 and I just don't get how it is different from its cheaper competition. I have purchased NYC nail polish for .98 cents and I love the colors and it lasts just as long as any other nail polish. So I'm just looking for opinions, good or bad on this product.

I am an avid Essie user, so I can say it's totally worth the price. Find a colour you really love and go for it ... I promise you won't regret it! The brush is the perfect size and shape, and the quality is amazing. Once I started buying Essie it slowly overtook my nail polish collection. I have about 25 colours now (I'm a nail polish junkie, obviously). I love it for the colour selection, and how long it lasts. The lighter colours especially I can wear on my hands for almost 2 weeks without having to re-do them, because they don't chip they just start to slowly fade around the tips. If you're really tight on money wait until they go on sale at Walmart when you can pick one up for around $6.

I like Essie polishes, but I find them very thin and watery. Usually I need at least 3 coats which is a pain. Their colour selection is great, they are always on trend and ton of variety but for me, I usually look for a thicker polish.

If there's something from Essie that really catches your eye, it would definitely be worth checking out! Apart from some treatments/base coats etc, I have really only tried two Essie polishes (Cashmere Bathrobe and Set in Stones), from newer collections, but they are both amazing. They are both unique shades that I haven't really seen done in this particular way by other polish brands, and I'm glad I picked them up! The quality of both is perfect, and they were definitely worth the extra bucks in my opinion.
