L'oreal Carbon Black Liner Intense to be exact. I've gotten plenty of compliments while sporting this liner. It never cracks, smudges and last an entire work day in perfect condition. M.A.C Fluidline and Makeup Forever Aqua Black Eyeliner are also my favorites but I find that both give off a dull look rather than glossy. Inconveniently you must also purchase a brush for these liners, which also means that you should constantly be keeping your brushes cleaned for your next application of liner.

My favourite eyeliner are MAC Chromaline (similar to MAC's Blacktrack). I think these are easier to use than liquid liner and they don't take as long to dry. I think Mandy already rated Chormaline on ChickAdvisor, I should rate it too actually...
I also love Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes. These are pencil liners are absolutely gorgeous and easy to use. They come in a variety of colours, many have a metallic sheen to them. I like these because it's easy to do a smokey eye or smudge the liner without it getting all messy.
|How easy is it to apply the gel ones with a brush? on Mar 01, 2010 @ 11:46 am|
Do you have to be an expert to apply the gel liners like M.A.C. Fluidline and Chromaline? Or is it easy to get used to? Is it time consuming?

I have the MAC Fluidline and a bunch of other gel eye liners and they are very easy to use. As long as you have a brush that works for you, then you're all set. I personally like the angled liner brushes, but others like the thin bent brushes.
I gave liquid liners a try in the past, but I found my hand to be very shaky to get a precise line. If you have a good liner brush, you should be able to control the line weight for gel liners easily -- whether you want a thin line or thick and dramatic. :)
For coloured liners, I like UD 24/7 pencils and Sephora Flashy Liners. They last all day and give your eyes an added pop!

I prefer liquid liner, mostly because I like a more dramatic look. When I'm wearing darker eye shadows, liquid liner tends to show up much better, whereas I find it is always a bit harder to do with pencil liners. Even for more subtle looks, you can use liquid liner, just do a less dramatic and thinner line.
I also find them easier/faster to apply, weirdly enough. Just do a nice, quick line on your eyes. Sometimes with a pencil it is dull and needs to be sharpened or just won't show the colour that well or look smudgy. Liquid liner looks more even to me I guess, and makes the line/colour look more consistent? I usually just got for Revlon Colorstay liquid liner in Black. They used to have some sort of Shimmer Black one that I liked better, but I can't find it anywhere anymore!
