I am in search of a facial moisturizer.
I've tried lots in the past little while and can't find anything I like.
Aveeno skin brightning (discontinued, didn't really like anyway)
Aveeno ultra calming SPF 15 (I get dry spots and zits)
Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 30 (eyes water, smells funny)
Neutrogena oil-free (no SPF and burns)
Cetaphil SPF 15 (makes me break out and makes my eyes water, didn't like)
Dove deep moisture SPF 15 (too oily!)
My skin is oily, but I still need moisture. I do get zits (sometimes big dry ones)
Thank you !

I have oily skin and tend to break out - esp around the chin area. This moisturizer is really light but will keep even the dry spots good. Another one I really like is Kiehl's Ultimate facial moisturizer.

I use one made by Just For Redheads that I adore. It's lightweight but rich at the same time - without being too moisturizing on the not so dry spots. And it's got SPF15.
If I don't use that I just use some shea butter or cocoa butter if I have any on hand. You'd need to use a separate SPF that way of course but I love both of them for keeping my skin (all over, not just the face!) soft and glowy. A little goes a very long way with both of them too so if you invest in one block of either you'll have plenty to last a loooong time!

I use a neutrogena healthy skin spf 15 lotion. It will sting when applied to open skin b/c of the alpha hydroxy. On the other hand, the alpha hydroxy is what I love about it. It helps slough off the old skin that is adding to the clogged pores. I've used this moisturizer for over 10 years. I took a break several months ago to try MC's garnier fructis fresh. I adore the scent of the garnier product. However, when I applied it it left my skin feeling like plastic, like a thin film on my skin. I used it for a month to give it a fair try. My skin never got moisturized enough and began to dry too much leading to increased break outs. I still love the lotion for its scent, though, so now I use it on my hands.
btw, I have oily skin -- T-zone w/ drier cheeks.

No worries, MC. Tiffani said it ... everyone's skin is so different a product can yield different results. I'm glad it works for you! :-)

|Olay on Dec 18, 2008 @ 10:59 am|
I have tried many moisturizers (neutrogena, clean and clear, vichy, etc) and the one that i always come back to is Olay. I tried Olay 7, but now have switched to Olay Regenerist. It also has SPF which is good. I know its for more mature skin, but it works wonders for my super dry skin!!

I have an olay sensitive skin one with spf, it works pretty well. I actually like the Aveeno Ultra-Calming, but i wont recommend it cause you've already tried it and had bad results :(.
