A while ago I went in to my dermatologist for a free consultation expecting to get a microdermabrasion to treat some minor scars from acne and blemishes but they told me the microdermabrasion would not do anything for me on what I want so instead they set me up for an appointment on the 18th and recommended the dermaroller. Now that it's closer I'm getting more desperate and get frustrated with the scars and blemishes I want gone. Would like to feel better for now and get any advice from you guys if any of you ladies have tried the dermaroller...? Would like to know anything, advice, experience, results from you guys if any please. Was wondering specially if any of you know if the dermaroller give permanent results or if it's a temporary fix on the areas you get treated...? Will really appreciate the info.

Iam the same as you, but i suffer with open pores on my cheeks and forehead, and have mild acne prone skin very oily. I live out in dubai and iam worried about having tratment here for dermaroller as there are alot of fakes being used. so just becareful, make sure the dermaroller is genuine and has been made in germany these are suposed to be the good ones giving the best rsults. My derm is in the UK iam in contact with her and trust her, there clinic has all the genuine stuff. What iam doing is this: Iam going to order the dermaroller from her but not the home one she is selling me the in clinic one and has given me directions on how to use it, iam doing this as i dont want to risk losing money here and not getting the right results. the roller iam getting is the origional one, and although they say that it has to be done by a proffesional you can actually do it yourself. (my derm does it herself and says its straightforward, and you can also watch them do it on youtube so you know what your doing too) you have to roll it untill you bleed in a union jack kind of patern, then repeat again every 6-12 wks. also this in clinic roller at1.5 (which is the in clinic depth) is only costing me 200 GBP thats becouse iam doing it myself so am only paying for the product. it costs more when they do it for you as your paying for their time and your session. iam ordering this week and hope to receive it in 10 days. I will post an update on here later as to how i get on and results etc.. it is suposed to be good for open pores and acne scars as it plumps the skin, but i think i takes at least 3 sessions to see results. this one iam ordering can only be used for up to 3 sessions 6-12 wks apart, so will need to sterilise it etc.. for next session. results are supposed to be permanent but you need to maintain it by doing the roller once twice a year and also a good skin regime! hope ive been useful here.

Also foorgot to mention: The obagi skin care products are very good, especially the retin A cream 0.5 and 1% are good. combined with dermaroller this will help maintain your skin too, i recoment obagi nuderm system as iam on that at the moment, and its really helping.
I hope all goes well for you, and do keep us updated here about your results too. good luck and dont panic! we all want perfect skins dear or at least near to perfect! lol! just got to keep trying till we reach our goal.

Yeah, I care about myself so I look for the best. My dermatologist and her team seem to be the best, she has a show of her own and has been in the Rachael Ray show, and with America's Next Top Model and are always visiting my local news. One of her nurses recommended 3 sessions because she said that's all I needed, at least for now, cause it's minor. Her name is Dr. Tess Mauricio in La Jolla, CA. Just in case anyone is interested and visits San Diego, CA. I will be going in to get the sessions done by them not on my own.

hi, i was wondering how your derma rolling sessions with Dr. Tess went? I had a consultation with her sister, the r.n. Angela, and was considering it for large pores and acne scars. I'd love to hear how you liked it as I am debating it. Thanks!
