it did an ok job on Aug 10, 2010 @ 03:26 pm
My friend tried it on her dark brown (dyed) hair. It worked pretty well. It got most of the dye out and returned her hair to a shade much similar to her natural colour (light brown/red). It worked pretty evenly but there were some areas of her hair that were slightly darker than others but nothing really noticeable. So it didn't work entirely but it didn't mess up her hair either.
Hope that helps a little bit.

I never tried it but I heard that if you want to get your hair dye out faster you should use head and shoulders shampoo...

I'm going to give it a try tomorrow, I'll let you know how it worked out for me then.

Be sure to let us know if it works!! There was an article in the blog about it a while back and I've been anxious to hear if it works since!

I dyed my hair and the box said light brown and to my shock it turned black so I was desperate to try color oops!I did not want to use a kit that stripped my hair So I tried the color oops.First off be warned it stinkssssssss! It also feels like slime and kinda tricky to apply through the hair. The directions state the more you rinse the more the color comes out.So RINSE RINSE RINSE!Its really boring but if you want the color out you need to basically fall asleep in the shower with the shower head pointed at your hair lol.If you dont rinse it really well the color can come back!It will actually bring your hair back to your original color!Go look on youtube and type color oops there are a few videos.Check out www.developlus.com as well to read full instructions..There is a extra strength one and a milder one I went for the extra strength one I wanted the color out bad.Its really quite cool how it gets rid of the color it works really well! The thing that stinks is hydrosulfite it reduces the dye molecule without the need for
bleach, ammonia, or peroxide. So your hair wont be stripped.Definatly try it Takoda you will be surprised a the results!Good luck..

Well I tried it yesterday and it did take the red out like I wanted it to do. I put a review up so everyone can take a look. bren581 you are right about the rinsing part, I was bent over the tub and when I tried to get up my knee was stuck in place. It took a minute, or two to straighten it back out, but I made it. Must be that old age thing hitting me again.LOL It does smell, but I didn't think it was any worse then hair dye smells. I do how ever think that it will work much better for someone that has dyed they're hair to dark and doesn't like it compared to to light. Once you go blond it's pretty hard to get back to a brown, but it sure did take the red color out and I'm happy with it. So you don't have to cry any more if your hair doesn't turn out they way you thought it would, you just have to get color oops and try again. I hope this was helpful to you lady's, like I said I have a review up that will take you to the web site that I bought it from and it will give you some more info about it. Thanks for all your help.

Thats great Takota I'm glad it worked for you as well.If you do a search at the top of this page and type in color oops somebody already had it set up to review with pictures awhile back.So you might also want to put your review in there.
Question... on Aug 14, 2010 @ 08:54 pm
Does this only work on newly coloured hair? Or can you use it to try to strip old hair colour and get back to your natural shade??
up to a year on Aug 14, 2010 @ 10:25 pm
Guppy I remember it saying that it would take dye out of your hair thats been there a year!
coworker had good luck with it on Aug 15, 2010 @ 08:34 am
she went overboard towards the blond side and had success with this product in repairing the color
