Gossthemakeupartist aka Wayne Goss also made a video on something like this. I believe it was his review of L'oreal serum or something not long ago. But he always points out not to believe in marketing hype or all of that gene science or other
science-tsy (?) mambo jambo. I think, using common sense and viewing things objectively helps a lot. Sometimes a plain old toothpaste works better than $30 anti-zit cream. But that's my 2 cents.

I completely agree with the fact that for the most part in cosmetics... price does not equal quality or results. I have found products under 10$s that work better than 100$ ones. It's all about their branding... which is a little frustrating.

What really confuses me and annoys me a lot are some of the "cosmeticians" at Shoppers. They just convince you that all the "topical" products such as L'Oreal, Olay, Nivea, Boots7, etc. are all a waste of money. As one woman said, it's the same man wearing a different coat. According to them the only thing that works is Neo Strata which is a chemical thing that is developed by a pharmaceutical company and basically that's the only thing that helps you.

I asked my bff who is a chemical engineer, and she said that companies such as L'Oreal invest huge $$ in their labs researching different products. Calling their entire work bogus is more than a bit extreme. I totally agree with her.

Anyways, I'm currently using Neo Strata... i'm waiting a bit to see how it affects me before I write a review on it.
