the appearance of pores is something that can be easily minimized with makeup. primers are great, they help to fill them in and provide a smooth base for makeup application. the thicker, silicone like ones are the best.

I have found that the "Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque" really helps clean out and minimize pores, plus it is pretty cheap and you can find it in drugstores or places like Target and Walmart:

The best pore 'hider' for me to date is Benefit Cosmetics "POREfessional" primer. You can either use it all over, or just in spots, like the ones you are concerned about. It literally smooths your entire face into a clean canvas to then put your makeup on over. I have acne-prone and oily skin, and this product has never made me break out at all.
