I'm so going to try this.
What's your best tip (or product or tool) to remove blackheads?

There are numerous things you can do to remove blackheads. One good way is to mix liquid honey and cinnamon. Rub onto your dry skin for 3-4 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, and pat dry. Honey is known to remove them and dirt from the pores. I have told a lot of people about this, and it always works.

It's nice to hear about natural home remedies. I often wonder if these crappy blackheads are just another side effect from my illness. I used to have such beautiful skin and I took it for granted then.
I also need to use my face steamer more- I love the feeling of warm, moist air opening my pores. It actually FEELS like it's doing something.

I am very prone to blackheads around my nose. The thing that's helped me the most is this benzoyl peroxide cream called The Terminator. It's really helped clear them up. Also mud mask 2-3 times a week.

Where do you get that product?? Is it expensive? Does it work?
I've recently started using charcoal products and have noticed a difference. Apparently charcoal is the new thing now.

It was $8 or $9 at Shoppers for the Terminator cream. It does work really well. Took about 2 weeks to see a difference. The mud mask is St. Ives, like $4 at Shoppers as well. That took about a month to see results.

I'd love to try charcoal next. Or the Biore baking powder scrub.

When I get out of the shower, I use a bobby pin as a blackhead extractor. Works amazingly and is much cheaper than buying the actual tool! Also, Wish and other apps/stores like it sell the black goop blackhead mask that is actually to die for - and for about $1-$4 dollars!

I bought this little gem at Shoppers for $6 recently and it seems to make a bit of a difference. it won't get rid of the black heads but it does seem to 'clean them out' so they don't look so dark. i use it a few times a week with my own face wash and if i'm not too overzealous with the scrubbing i come out looking freshly scrubbed, if i go overboard i look pink.

@Rae I would be too paranoid I'd scar if I used a Bobby pin! You're brave! I use the extractor tools at SDM.
@Tanya I've tried the silicone scrubby and it didn't work for me. I have a facial scrubbing brush set. Just an inexpensive one - can't justify spending $300 on the clarisonic! !!

I'm very prone to black heads on my nose too. Over the years I've tried so many things and nothing has worked for me. Masks, tape, metal tools, creams, scrubs, purchased product, home DIY product ... nothing!

Nothing Works! on Apr 05, 2016 @ 06:10 pm

The dreaded blackheads.
I wish I had some miracle product to suggest.
Nothing works for me.
No cleanser, toner, mask or exfoliator has done the trick.
