So I just got my haircut today and I absolutely hate it.My bangs are completely messed up and my hair is way to short for me. It's about 2 inches past my shoulders. She also gave me a face frame or whatever and it only adds to how awful it looks. I know hair grows, but any suggestions on making it grow faster? Please don't reccommend hair extensions! Thanks in advance!

I think you just need to ensure you eat a very healthy diet, take multivitamins and brush your hair/massage your scalp as much as you can ...........this increases circulation/oxygen to the hair follicles. Also making sure you are getting proper sleep and drinking water/exercising.
I've also heard of women taking prenatal vitamins to grow their hair faster. I dunno if that works or not....but supplements that will definitely help hair growth are Vitamins B, C, E, Beta Carotene, Magnesium.

I agree with the poster above, make sure to take care of yourself and eat the right food.
Unfortunately I think winter hair/nails apparently grows slower (or maybe they grow at a normal pace and just faster during summer, not sure). Remember to trim your hair too, that helps Ive heard (i know my bangs would grow fast and constantly since i was trimming them often to keep them at the length i wanted)
|Bad hair day on Nov 24, 2011 @ 01:24 am|
I had to get my hair cut super short over a year ago due to a bad hair dye job...It was awful I wore lots of hats lol.........But I also took silica supplement from my health food store and it grew in much healthier and stronger its also good for your skin and fingernails.Or just eat a good nutritionally balanced diet and take a multivitamin the multivitamin is good if your body is lacking in anything which would slow hair growth the vitamin will give you a boost .Try a hot oil treatment massage(coconut oil or lavender oil are fantastic)The main thing is just patience it will grow back...

After growing my hair for over two years I went in to have a spiral perm

I can relate! When I was in 7th grade (or maybe 8th) I got the worst haircut- I looked so dorky! Here is the real problem though- I totally didn't realise it at the time haha!
When I was 17 in a moment of pure idiocy I also let my friend cut my hair- BIG mistake. It has never grown in right since!!! I just wore it up a lot and had to suffer the consequences!
I've had bad cuts before and never said anything to hair dresser and suffered in silence but I have since learned that you need to speak up when you aren't satisfied- go back to the salon and ask if there is anything you can do- it never hurts to ask! At the very least, maybe they could shape it to something more suited for you?
|Headbands on Nov 24, 2011 @ 11:02 am|
There are so many cute ones now, bows, sparkles, a huge variety of colours. Yes I know, the headband isn't everyones favourite accessory, but it does hold up a bad set of bangs quite well, and if you take some bobby pins and strategically pin any fly aways, you can have a cute bun or a pony, and the headband hides what you dont want others to see!
I had to do that after asking a friend to trim my bangs for me... I've never asked a friend to touch my hair since, but now I've learned to love headbands, especially when the straightener and my bangs dont agree!!

You girls rock! Thanks a ton! I'll be sure to tell you guys when it fully grows back. For now, I just have it up in a cute side pony with my bangs bobby pinned back. Thanks again!

That sound really cute. I hope you feel a little bit better and your hair grows back fast, but who knows you just might grow to like it. Hugs!

I just had to share this with you:
This happens to all of us. Aside from the tips above (and I especially agree about hair growing faster in warmer weather), you will need to work on styling it until you have a length you like.
So sorry this has happened to you. It really sucks but before you know it, you will have great hair again. XOXO

Awww bad hair cuts are rough for the self-esteem. i remember going in to get all my locks cut off for a shaggy bob and the stylist cut it SUPER short in a mullet style. I went home and cried my eyes out. Luckily the next day at Beauty school my teacher made me feel better and fixed it for me.
When I want my hair to grow i do deep scalp massages in the shower when I shampoo, like others have suggested and take vitamin Biotin daily. It's really great for your hair :)
