Has anyone tried this relatively new temporary hair color from Sally Beauty? They have around four or five shades including silver / grey which is a popular shade right now. I'm curious to know if it actually works. It says no pre lightening required. For any of you chicks that have tried grey how did you do it? At home? Salon? Temporary or permanent?

It's best to go to a salon. Trust me, don't do it at home.

I go to the salon I always get a trim too. Always feels so much better and looks good too!

I'd be terrified to do that at home. I'm fine dyeing my hair a color close to my natural color at home but a totally different color I would do at a salon!

Thanks ladies for your reply. I do my own color at home and have for years. It's an indulgence I just can't afford in a salon because my hair is so thick and long and it's a huge cost. I need four boxes of dye! I didn't think so many people would go to the salon for a temporary color that lasts only 1-2 shampoos. No judgment at all here ladies - just surprised.
Well, once I finish this hair color (just stripped my hair from very dark brown and going medium brown tonight with a few highlights maybe) then maybe I will try the Grey / silver.
Thanks for the replies!! :)

I didn't realize you were using something so temporary lasting only 1-2 washes. I always s color my own hair at home. But i have had disasterous results trying to dye my hair a very different color than close to my own. Using permanent dye and it was truly awful.

You can do it at home. Google the product name and review and check out what other people on the web did to get some idea of the product and how it works!

Lol I've been there. Specifically going from dark brown to dark blonde. It was horrible. I usually do pretty well on my own but that's a salon thing for sure.

I've used it on my extensions got amazing results. you can google techniques I used a 10 or 20 volume developer and added a bit of black dye to my liking to get the exact shade of grey I wanted. I created an ombre effect black- dark grey- sliver/light grey. fyi in case you aren't aware for best results your hair should be platinum blonde.

My sister works at Sallys Beauty and shes planning on buying all the shades to try! They are super popular! She does her hair at home and does mine and my moms to with products from Sallys. I would just google some reviews to be sure :)
