I just got a cut that I really am not happy with. Is there anything you
can do to make your hair grow faster?! A special oil or vitamin?! I need
this bad hair cut to grow out ASAP!

Hair usually grows more in the Spring I believe so I think you might notice hair growth more around Spring/summer.

Try not to be too harsh on your hair and use too many heating tools on it. A hair mask is always nice to help repair your hair and help keep it healthy and beautiful and in the end long.

I believe there's vitamins out there that help with skin and hair growth as well

You just need to make sure the hair you have is healthy so you won't get split ends because then it'll break or it'll look really bad so you'll cut it yourself. There are vitamins that help make hair healthy like Omega 3 and I think Cod Liver Oil supplements.

Also, I read recently that if you rub olive oil into your scalp and ends and let it sit for half an hour before washing it out it really helps to stimulate growth and repair dried out ends. Be really careful with oil treatments though because if you apply heat (like flat irons, blow dryers, etc.) without washing it out really well I think it'll just sort of cook your hair and you'll be worse off.

If you're really desperate you can always get extensions! :P

supplements and essential oils on Feb 13, 2012 @ 12:27 am

I use a mix of rosemary, lavender and lemon essential oil in a base oil, and sub them in my scalp I leave it on overnight and wash in the morning. This helps exfoliate the scalp and stimulate circulation.
In terms of supplements, there's Biosil (drops are best), a form of very absorbable silica, B vitamins, MSM, and of course Omegas that help hair grow strong and beautiful. Try at least Biosil and MSM. My friend tried this regimen for a few months before her wedding and her hair stylist was amazed at the how long her hair grew in such a short time (and high stress period).

Herb on Feb 14, 2012 @ 01:34 am

The ladies above have some really great advise...I would just add mineral silica,or horsetail herb(its not actual horsetail!) I have been trying this herb I make about 2 litres of water to the herb I buy in bulk(it cost me under a $1!) very cheap........I boil all that together and make a tea out of it.I have the jars stored in my fridge and drink a cup a day.The horsetail herb is loaded with Silica which is very good for skin, cells, nerves, nails and hair. I'm on day three of trying this(a good friend suggested it to me) I've been doing lots of reading about it and it really works wonders apparently.I was using the mineral silica and it really helps but it is very expensive that's why I switched to this.Good Luck

circulation and oil massage on Feb 16, 2012 @ 02:09 pm

You can increase your hair growth by massaging some warm oil into your roots (ex olive oil or almond oil). The massage helps bring blood to the scalp which makes your hair grow.

You can do this once a week, maybe on a lazy sunday. Leave it in for like 30 minutes and then wash it out as you normally do with shampoo. I usually don't use conditioner after oil treatments because your hair is already hydrated and can get extra oily with a conditioner too.

hope it helps you.

The growing cycle of hair is that it grows approximately six inches a year. Lots of people claim this and that etc. will make hair grow, but I really don't believe that. You can make your hair healthier with different methods but hair still grows at the same rate. BUT if you think there are ways to make it grow faster great.

No sulfates on Jul 13, 2016 @ 09:49 am

I have been fighting to get length out of my hair for years!!! Then I heard a hair specialist on the TV program and what she had to say was exactly what I had been dealing with. My hair grows at a good speed but was very dry. It would break off and I was always getting split ends off. I followed her advice and I now have the longer hair I've been wanting. Yes, trim off any split ends, those will just keep getting shorter and shorter (I had been doing that). DO NOT use shampoo or conditioner that contains sulfates, especially if you have fine hair as I do. Yes, that gives you volume but really dries out your hair, which makes it lighter=volume. That worked wonders!! Also, my hair dresser told me that every morning she just uses a few drops of whatever conditioner she is using at the time. Spread it in the palms of your hands and apply to the ends of your hair. It will give you a nice coating. That I do every morning. Tried and true for my hair type. Hope you find the help you need.
