There was a video posted this morning demonstrating how to do your makeup like Kate Middleton's. You can watch it here.
The girl doing the video looks just gorgeous at the end! But this reminded me of an article I read a few weeks ago here. It talks about how Kate needs an eyeliner intervention as sometimes she has it way too dark! And it is completely all around the eyes, which is the style right now, but is it too much for a duchess?
Personally, I'd like to see her with eyeliner only on the top and see more of her natural beauty. And I definitely would have liked that for her wedding. What do you think? Is it too much or do you think this has become her signature look?

I do think it is a tad bit too dark but I think it became her signature look! I don't mind it but after while it would be nice to see something different for a change! She's gorgeous and will probably look just as nice in any kind of make-up.
Too Heavy! on Aug 29, 2011 @ 11:29 am
Kate Middleton's heavy black eyeliner has always really bugged me!!! Especially since she is so gorgeous and would look lovely without it. If I were her, I would try a dark brown liner instead and maybe avoid the underye liner too. (especially for day time!)

I have to agree with Tammy! It is her signature look, but I wouldn't mind seeing her with maybe a brown eyeliner?
I heard that she does her own makeup? But don't quote me on this, because I'm not sure :P. If she does, I think she's doing a great job!
But that's a great idea for eyelining just the top part! It'll really bring out a 60's look!

First of all, she is a classic beauty. Something about her just screams class, and it's not the "duchess" part either. Just look at them. Have you seen a more humble, down to earth, down right cute couple?
Ok onto her eyeliner.
If I'm going to comment about the duchess's eyeliner, I might as well mention that she needs to get a better moisturizer and/or exfoliate more. She looks older than her age. She's only 29 years old but looks way older. Eyeliner has become her signature look, but perhaps instead of doing black around her eyes which sort of makes her eyes look smaller and does nothing for their gorgeous green colour, she can wear a soft brown? On top the 2/3 outer corner and same for bottom. But instead of lining the bottom waterline she can line the bottom lash line, giving her eyes a more open look?
Just my two cents :-)

I agree that has become her signature look and I also think a slate/charcoal colour would look great and much softer. Either way, even with truck loads of eyeliner she still can out-do me any day!
She does look older on Aug 30, 2011 @ 01:24 pm
Ya I think her skin does make her look older than 29 years old. I wonder if it's too much time in the sun since her skin tone is ALWAYS so tanned. Not sure if that's because of her ethnicity or what but I agree with becky with getting a better skincare regimen.

I like the eyeliner on Oct 26, 2011 @ 11:59 am
The liner looks really weird because it appears as if she's drawing a line that's not that similar to her eyeline - as if she's trying to create a different eye shape with her eyeliner.
That being said I really like it - it makes her look more glamorous. I even tried it on myself - with varying results LOL!

I laughed when I saw this topic! I've been thinking the exact same as everyone has commented about her heavy black eyeliner. She looks great, regal, classic etc. in every pic I see of her but her black eyeliner along her lower lash line is too heavy and a bit much for daytime. Maybe just for evening events?
