What do I think of the line?
If I saw this post a week ago I would have told you I don't like MAC at all, it's overpriced, overrated, sub-par quality product. Since Estee Lauder bought the company, MAC's quality has significantly gone downhill, their quantity per product has been reduced while their prices have gone higher. I don't recommend it to anyone. I've yet to see someone who wears an overpriced MAC foundation, and I can't tell they're wearing MAC foundation. For example, went on girls night last Saturday and we got to talking about makeup. The gf beside me was complaining she needs help with makeup. I asked her if she wears MAC studio fix foundation. She was amazed I knew what she wore ... Well I knew for a reason, right? Not many foundations give that caked on orange look.
MAC's blushes and lipsticks are decent; wide range of colours and textures. However considering there are other blushes and lipsticks within the same price range that are better (more pigmented, more colours, moisturizing, longer lasting, etc), what's the point? Their eyeshadows are really nothing to write home about. Yes they have a good colour range, but they're not very pigmented. Especially their mineral eyeshadows; kinda crappy.
I'm extremely surprised to say I absolutely LOVE MAC's studio sculpt foundation. It's nothing like the rest of the line. It's not orange, doesn't oxidize on me, and gives a smooth, non cakey, flawless coverage. Honestly I just can't say enough good about it. I'm a bit weirded out by how awesome that foundation is. It's definitely an aberration from the rest of the line foundation.
I have a load of MAC products at home that I never use and I swore to not waste money buying MAC anymore. Thanks to this one foundation though I would consider trying more MAC products.
As far as these new launch; so MAC is finally jumpin on the neutral / "naked" band wagon, huh? That contour colour looks quite like the existing MAC contour in "blunt". Again, another "meh" colour. I personally don't like it, too orange for contour. I use it to blend some eyeshadows. From the picture it looks like repeat colours just repackaged.

Awesome choice! As katelynrose1984 said, there are so many different kinds of beautiful. Other images of beauty need more face time so have to give props to MAC for keeping that in mind.
