Natural Cosmetics

I am wondering if any of you tried cleaning, keeping your face or skin with food that you can buy from Supermarket. Like does massaging the face with real milk, or other food. I can't afford those anti-aging products they sell in store. And I have seen Horror report about what SKII has done to some people's faces. So i am wondering if it is better to start with all natural stuff.

I use some pretty "crazy" unconventional methods of caring for my skin/hair.

I don't know specifically about anything with any anti-aging benefits though. I've heard shea butter is supposed to have anti-aging properties but I don't know for sure. All I know for sure there is that I love shea butter because it's so moisturizing!

Things like oatmeal, yogurt, honey, olive oil are wonderful for your skin. Here are some links that might be useful for you:

coconut oil on Dec 04, 2012 @ 12:18 am

100% Virgin coconut oil is great!! I use it to emulsify my makeup, then wipe it off with a clean cotton pad. I use it as a moisturizer at night as well, but during the day it can look greasy. Olive oil also works and is cheaper, but I like the coconut smell.

anti aging ideas that are free also include staying out of the sun, drinking water, eating healthy and some people even swear by face massages that you can do yourself.

good luck!

Shea butter and skin care on Jan 09, 2014 @ 02:02 am

Shea Butter

Shea butter has been known to work well against stretch marks. It also benefits those suffering dry skin, dermatitis and sunburn, quick skin healing and cinnamic acid, which protects the skin against the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Since Shea butter is well tolerated by the skin, it usually does not trigger off any allergic reactions. This makes it ideal for use by persons with sensitive skin.

Coconut Oil As Well on Jan 09, 2014 @ 03:37 pm

I use coconut oil as well. You can moisturize with it. All over your face.
You can remove make-up with it. You can also mix it with raw shea butter if you want to moisturize with it that way.

You can use it as a hair mask too. The options are endless. Try googling it and you'll see that it's really an amazing oil.
