I am an adult waayyy past puberty but lately I've been experiencing the very annoying phenomenon where I get one or two fairly large pimples that take forever to form a head then forever to go away. (The latter may be because I am very pale and prone to scarring.) The annoying part is as soon as one is starting to heal another one pops up so I've never really at a point without any pimples. Since it's only one or two at a time it doesn't seem worth it to use an expensive product like ProActiv and I've tried spot treatment (to no avail). Does anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive store-bought or homemade (preferable) treatment for the occasional nasty pimple?

I have been pretty fortunate with having great skin but maybe once a year I will get a pimple and it is a big one. Usually it is because I have been eating to much chocolate or acidic products such as grapefruits or tomatoes. So I just really try to watch how much I have of these foods.

I'm almost 40 and get them from wearing make up every day.
I also modeled for several years as a teenager. Our secret for treatment was toothpaste on it at night to dry it up, then Visine on it under your make up. Yes, Visine covers it up. Nothing goes away immediately, but with daily washing, this method works great.

I get them sometimes too. I use toothpaste on them over night and that seems to help!
