Holy cow I super lucked out today! I went to SDM for something, and for the life of me I cannot remember what. I got so sidetracked as usual by the awesome sales / clearance items. I spent $189 after redeeming $85 worth of optimum points AND I saved $182 in aďition to that! I also earned enough points (I have an RBC Optimum account) to get back up to $30 off my next purchase. Some of the best deals: Quo brushes, $5.99, Aderma cream, $9.99, Elancyl Body Scrub System, $14.99 & refill $4.99, Burberry Rhythm, $17.77 (gotta love those perfume deals!), Annabelle extra large size eyeliner 2in1 with mistake eraser, 2 items for 1 in two colors $11.99, Marcelle exfoliating cloths plus tanning cloths $10.99, Argan Strip styling hairbrush, $5.99 and tons of new NYX products in new colors all on sale! I totally got some amazing deals, I think I had 41 items in total. BUT... I stupidly forgot what I went there for in the first place... and obviously left without it #fail. *sigh*, I wonder if there is hope for me LOL

I have the RBC card as well and I love the fact that I am always getting money off when I go to Shoppers. They have the best clearance section. Congrats on your great haul

Yes, those perfume sales are the best. Normally I don't care for celeb perfumes but I do like the Nikki Minaj and Katy Perry Purrr and Killer Queen. For Men they have Michel Germain on sale all the time. I LOVE the smell of Sexual
Sugar Daddy on a man. Oh my, it smells soooooooooooooo good! And David Beckham (I think the original one) is amazing for a man too.
Perfume sales are the best!

And yes, having the RBC Card Def makes points add up gate doesn't it? I love it!

Awesome finds! I'm going to have to stop by Shoppers this weekend :) I'm hoping eventually you'll remember what it was you were suppose to get.

Thanks Christina, me too lol. And Crystal, yes that's correct and I also got $30 worth of optimum points. :) I am dangerous in that store! I could never work there - I would spend all my pay on products haha
Seriously though, I shop strategically there. I use the app and load all coupons even if I don't think I will use them. I get everything there: food, toiletries, random stuff like an electric bbq, jewelry, medication, pet stuff, cleaning products, etc. I never (or hardly ever) pay full price for anything and I shop on days that you get 20x the points or 22,000 points for spending a certain amount. I make sure to calculate the purchase and I can usually get points twice a week so it adds up fast. I always buy clearance things (check expiry dates) and save for gift giving times. I also get coupons in the mail that are tailored to my spending habits. So I do spend a lot there but I also save a lot and the points add up super quickly especially with an RBC Card because you get 50,000 points for signing up when you change banks plus you earn points on every single purchase you make at any store. I usually save my points for big purchases like my Chanel No.5 perfume or a pricey beauty buy that I would NEVER pay full price for. I have already redeemed the max points $170 off about five times so far this year. Usually I don't spend at the $85 dollar mark - I wait to get to the max points which is the next step up. But yesterday there were so many good sales I didn't mean to spend that much so I used it. I'm usually a very thrifty shopper. I typically buy most of my clothes at value village or goodwill. So many things you can find new with tags! I'm lucky I live in a big city so I have a lot more selection of stores. And Ps - at shoppers you can always ask for samples to try before you buy. I've received some awesome samples then if it's an expensive product I save my points for it.

Last year when they were changing from their current suppliers to Loblaws suppliers, they were liquidating things unbelievably..like moisturizers that were regularly $22.99 going for $ 2, and the clinical strength anti-perspiring for $1. I saved thousands. I stuffed my adult kids stockings with hundreds of dollars of stuff for probably between 20 and 30 dollars. They thought they won the jackpot!
