I'm off to Vegas at the end of the month and I feel less than ready. I want to look good in low cut dresses and my bikini but I have stretch marks on my breasts and I am a little embarrassed.
I have been using Bio Oil for a few days now but does anyone recommend any other treatments to reduce the signs of stretch marks?

I used Bio Oil for a while (but constantly forgetting!) and have heard that full results take time. I can tell you that it will probably take a fair bit more than a month for substantial results to be seen - perhaps as much as 3 months :( Not a quick fix there.
I have used self tanner/tinted body lotion and that helps quite a bit. Think of it as makeup for your body! They will still show but it makes a huge difference, even if you don't put on all that much (which is good, because you'll look like an oompa loompa if you overapply).
Have fun in Vegas!!

I'm definitely going to pick up some tinted moisturizer. I can't believe I didn't think of it!
Thanks a million!

Many ladies have given their opinion on over 30 different self-tanning/tinted products. I suggest you read up!

The only thing that will reduce the appearence other than what was mentioned above is time. Also, I know LUSH carries something to help out with stretchmarks, but I can't remember the name of the stuff. A friend had picked it up and said it works pretty good.

I know this sounds so cliche, but products aside, the best remedy for dealing with any physical flaws we are embarrassed about is confidence. This is best summed up by my favourite quote from Sophia Loren:
"Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful."
If you aren't trying to hide your body and carry yourself confidently with a smile on your face, your confidence will be far more noticeable than your stretch marks.

I have had stretch marks, dark skin marks, acne scars.....you name it.... since i was young. I always hated it and have tried almost everything on the market from microderm abrasion to chemical peels, to derma injections...... none that helped to remove the flaws.
So as I grew up, I developed a bit more confidence and realized,,,,"who cares?". and that confidence was noticed by others.
I do however, use Bio Oil. Been using it way before it was offered in Canada. And after almost 7 yrs of using it....... i can say that it does work....... it just needs to be used regularly to see results. no it wont take them away.....but it will fade the marks!

Personally I don't think confidence is always involved. I still where sleeveless tops low cut dresses and skirts even though I have stretch marks everywhere (knees, stomach, elbows, breasts, butt and the list only goes on from there. I know that when my doctor put me on a med that will remain nameless I gained a little over 60 lbs. in 1 freaking month no one’s skin is made to stretch that much that quickly. I used Bio Oil because I was tired of bleeding through my skin whenever I got bumped or bruised. It helped and now I use it to help fade them (I'm still working on that) As long as you are doing it for you and only you go ahead and change or fix anything you want to.
|Bio-Oil! on May 14, 2010 @ 11:21 am|
I agree 100% with everyone saying Bio-Oil!
I've been using it for a couple months now (it's very hard to remember to do it twice a day though!) and they're definitely starting to fade :)
It's a lot of time and effort, but definitely worth it, because they're not going anywhere on their own :(
