|I'm using 50 too! on Jun 22, 2015 @ 03:26 pm|
I have an allergic reaction to the sun and if my skin burns it will cause me to scratch to the point of drawing blood. 50 offers me the protection I need to enjoy the weather. My kids use 50 too but they are lucky not to have sensitive skin like me.
We don't ever leave the house without using sunscreen, wearing a hat and shades.
Enjoy your afternoon! Take care! ;-)

I have sensitive skin so I usually aim for 50 for the body and 60 face.

There are a lot of places who have started to ban sunscreen's over 50, and I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually follow suit. They say that beyond 50 it really doesn't make a difference except for the fact that some of the sunscreen's that claim to have higher SPF's are potentially more harmful because of the ingredients found inside them. Just thought I would share.

I am currently testing out the Coppertone Skin Sensitive Faces SPF 50 through the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. (Thank you Chickadvisor!) Will let you know what I think of it! Normally I use Vichy LiftActive with SPF 30 for everyday wear - which I find great. If I am going to be in some serious sun I also add a little Miracle 10 Sunscreen SPF 30 along the nose and under the eyes. (Miracle 10 has some great products for sensitive skin!) For in the lake, pool or out on the boat I have fallen in love with Shiseido Wetforce Broad Spectrum SPF 50 which can be used on the face and body - and actually gets more effective once wet!

I have been chosen by #ChickAdvisor to try and review #CoppertoneSkin "Sensitive Faces SPF 50 and I have not yet submitted a review yet but I so far find that it really works I was out side all day over the weekend and no burn , it did not irritate my skin and you can also use it under your makeup I am really liking it so far. You should really try it for yourself.

A few people in my family have dealt with skin cancer, so sunscreen is a must for me! Also, I wouldn't want my tattoos to get faded from too much exposure to the sun. I usually use spf 60. You can never be too careeful
|Natural based protection? on Jun 29, 2015 @ 12:40 pm|
Does anyone know some natural based sun protection methods?

@LipstickLover - The only one I have tried is Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense in SPF 50 - Natural based and works well on senstive skin!

The only sun screen I use is Australian Gold because I have had some bad allergic reactions to almost any other brand. I also really love the scent of Australian Gold, very tropical. I usually use 30 SPF because I have a darker skin tone so it offers me enough protection.

So far this season, I use coppertone for face and neutrogena 110 for rest of the body.
