Skin-Rub half a lemon on your face daily to lighten/even out skin tone its also good for blemishes.Always follow with a good moisturizer as this can be drying to the skin..
Hair-Lemon juice again is very good... Put it in a spray bottle and spray your hair before going out in the sunshine..Also Chamomile tea is good for lightening hair.

Products with licorice or vitamin c will help brighten your complexion.
Stay away from bleaching creams...

Bren, how often would you do the lemon rub on your skin? Do you just rinse with water after and then moisturize? I have a lot of dark spots on my face and have tried a lot of products designed to minimize the spots but found them largely ineffective. At the moment I think laser treatment is the only permanent solution, but I'd certainly be willing to try lemons!

The acid in the lemon is good at lightening dark spots but just be sure you don't have really sensitive skin and don't go in the full sun with lemon juice on your skin.
Squeeze half a lemon in a container and use a cotton ball to soak up the lemon juice(real lemon juice squeezed NOT bottled stuff)dab quite heavily the lemon juice onto the spots and leave on to dry from 15 minutes to half an hour.I would do it daily for a week to see results you can even do it two times a day to be more effective.
Rinse the lemon juice off well and then apply a good moisturizer as lemon juice can be drying however you are not applying it to your whole face just the spots so you should be good.
Good Luck! The vitamin c should be really good for your skin as well so you cant go wrong giving it a try.

Thanks, Bren! I was seriously considering laser treatment but when I realized what is involved in terms of pain and price I will try something cheap, natural and painless first. Will report back!

I hope you have good results!I was just thinking that I had heard also about Hydrogen Peroxide for age spots before as well.... I found this article If you have no luck with the lemon juice you might want to give this a try.
|Tomato? on Sep 28, 2012 @ 06:44 pm|
A friend of mine swears by rubbing (and eating) tomatoes on your skin. It's supposed to help even skintone and minimize / remove discoloration.
I personally recommend Smashbox BB cream to help with discoloration. I had a few old acne marks on my skin which to my surprise faded next to nothing once I started using my Smashbox BB cream daily. It isn't advertised as scar minimizer but hey, it seems to work for me!
