i got my nails done tonight at the usual place, and i'm usually pretty happy. i paid $45 tip for a gel fill. i wasn't really happy with the way they were looking but the place was packed. i could tell the girl was rushing but i didn't want to be a nuisance. well, i have been out of there less than an hour and already i have a massive chip in one nail.
as u can also see, the line of the french is crooked as hell. when i had my hands in the uv light, i guess the glue holding the light to the top was loose and it fell down, burning my hand. to add to that, my nails aren't smooth. the uv gel is rough from where the light bulbs dinged it, and the shape of my nail is like a hill, every single one.
it's so frustrating! should i go back and pay to have them redone, or should i just go in and ask to have them fixed? will they charge me?

You really need to contact the manager! That is no excuse that they are busy you are a paying customer and entitled to have your nails done professionally. You should not have to pay again! If this is a reputable place and good management they should repair it free of charge and perhaps even reimburse you for the hassle of having to come back.Good Luck and you were smart to take pictures!

Yes, you should definitely go back. You paid $45! Getting your nails done is something fun you do for yourself and you should be happy with it. The customer should always be 100% satisfied. I agree with Bren. You should request to talk with a manager and get it worked out. Good luck!

Ask To Have Redone on Mar 12, 2012 @ 09:21 am
If this is your usual place, then I say go back, you're a loyal customer and they should recognize that! I don't think you should have to pay to have them fixed since this was something they messed up on and with your pictures, you can clearly see that they didn't do a good job. Go back, calmly explain the issue and ask to have it redone. If they say no or charge you, it's time to take your business elsewhere!

thanks everyone! :)
i didn't end up going back, though.. the street was closed for the saint patrick's day parade. however i did go back the other day and witnessed the male manager lashing out on one of his female employees.. won't be going there anymore.
epic fail service!! on Mar 25, 2012 @ 04:20 pm
After reading this i was sooo mad for you!! I couldnt imagine having to leave a salon feeling rushed or neglected as a client. I am also a nail technician and would NEVER make someone pay for that or let a client leave like that. I hope this never happens to you agian, theres nothing worse than leaving a place of pamper feeling worse or negative about the outcome. Much luck next time :)

I agree with never going back - but what a huge waste of money and a disappointment. I hope you rate the place and rate it exactly as it deserves so others don't bother going. @sixx - you have a great attitude. Its so important to focus on each client and give that person a great experience. I know crap happens, but its all about how its handled!
Wow on Mar 27, 2012 @ 10:11 am
Can't believe that. Never feel like a nuisance when you're a paying customer, even if it's busy. It's your business that keeps them busy. You are paying them for a service and expect it of a certain quality. Next time I would bring it to their attention before you leave.

after reading the original post(and seeing the photos) and the post about you going back and the manager, i think it is good that youve decided not to go back. im sure you can find a great place to go to, good luck for next time!
