I like to use black eye liner sometimes on my water line. Was wondering if any of you girls do it too and what eye pencil works good...which one do you use...is there one that will stay for a while and you won't have to be reapplying...? I was using a cheap one from Avon my mother in-law gave me just to use it and finish it up but I didn't even needed to do that cause it just broke somehow and threw it away so I need a new one.

Lancome has always been my favourite for eyeliner and still is. I find it stays better than others. For that part, I think you'd need it to be waterproof, but also a softer pencil so you don't scratch yourself. I only use eyeliner there occasionally and have yet to find one that lasts all day.

I don't prefer using pencil liners as I find that they smudge to easily. I do have other recommendations that you can give a try. MAC fluidline works wonderfully but you have to purchase a seperate brush for the application & also you have the disadvantage of having to clean the brush every so often with brush cleaner which can end up being a pain. Otherwise I would recommend it. I'm currently using L'oreal's Carbon Black liner intense and I personally love it. If you apply it on thinly enough it can last an entire day without cracking or smudging. As for a drugstore eye pencil, I've tried Revlon Color stay Eye Liner and it seems to work fine for me as well!
Your best bet is to go to your nearest drug/department store and try out a few. I have yet to settle with one yet because there's always something new out! Happy shopping!
I use Mac Fluidline as well. on Jan 12, 2010 @ 03:31 pm
For my waterline as well as for regular eyeliner, i use both MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and Mac Pro Chromaline in Black Black. I find that they both work really well. I can either use a small short flat brush or a thin eyeliner brush. I think that the trick is not to drag it to draw a line like you would on your eyelid, instead, dab the product with you brush on your waterline.
My eyeliner on my waterline pretty much stays put the whole day unless i have really teary eye that day. I never have to reapply. So try it out, a pot of either one will last you quite a long time.
Is it harmful for your eyes? on Jan 13, 2010 @ 02:47 pm
I love the look of waterlined eyes, but I only line my eyes there occasionally because I'm haunted by the warnings of my dance teacher in grade nine who told our class it was harmful for our eyes. Has anyone else heard this? I wear contact lenses so I may have to be more cautious than those who don't.
Eyeliner - Waterline safe? on Jan 13, 2010 @ 03:50 pm
I think there are different kinds. I *think* that the mac fluidline is waterline safe. I think it's best to find the info on the product's site/ ask a sales rep. For me, none of these have irritated my eyes. But it's best to be safe.
Lining waterline on Jul 29, 2015 @ 01:23 am
I've only recently started to line my waterline, as I've been wary of the hygiene and safety of putting makeup so close to the eyes. I only do it occasionally now still.
My Lancome pencil has worked well for that purpose. I've also used Essence waterproof gel (http://www.essence.eu/products/eyes/eyeliner-kajal/e/product/gel-eye-pencil-waterproof-06/) pencil, which hasn't budged either.

Ugh mine always runs or just fades away. When I put it on it stays for like maybe 20 minutes, I always have to reapply and its a pain. I am going to have to try these as well.
