I know Seneca College has an Esthetician course. It's not exactly makeup only though, so it depends how long you want to study and if it is only makeup you're interested in.

Good luck though :D

George Brown? on May 31, 2012 @ 09:02 am

I went to school for fashion at George Brown so I can vouch for the school in general, though not for the makeup instructors specifically. I do however have friends that were in that program and I can say that they loved it. You can also take individual courses through the school, if you wanted to test it out maybe, you could go for one course and see how you like it. If you're interested in any college, make an appointment to see a counsellor there. They are usually more than willing to give you a tour, take you through courses etc.

Also- I'm no expert, but I would warn you against enrolling into private institutions. They're a money sucker. They are far pricier than any college out there and in my opinion, you get the same education.

Hi there

I am planing to join makeup artistry, as i want to make my career in MUA, I am so confused :(

which college in Toronto is best for makeup artistry ?

- I found Sheridan and Geroge brown bit expensive, but if its worth joining i dont mind paying heavy fees (:

- I found Seneca (low fees but have no reviews. i am keen joining seneca)

- Also i found two more colleges:

Complection and Paramita (which is highly expensive and private colleges)

I want to finish my MUA course ASAP

please please guide me, I am so confused and i have a deadline for sept

Waiting for ur positive reply at the earliest

Thanks in advance

are the sheridan and seneca programs identical or similar?

Sheridan College on Jul 31, 2012 @ 04:33 pm

Sheridan College (Trafalgar campus) has a Cosmetic Techniques and Management program. A few of my friends have graduated from there and say its really great! You learn both makeup and hair aspects. You can learn more on the site:

Hair and Makeup artist - Toronto on Apr 19, 2015 @ 10:58 pm

I am a hair/makeup artist and teach private and group classes. My classes are practical and to the point. I teach many styles that can be used on many different clients. From soft to glam looks. It's hands on so you will learn on the spot with me. You will also learn the basics that you will learn at colleges as well but I don't only teach theory. You get a certificate of completion from me. Let me know if any of you have questions. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Nova Vita in London offers a make-up certification course. I believe it's ONLY makeup, but I could be wrong. Check them out!
