I just got my eyebrows threaded at the same place I've been going to for years. She asked me if I wanted to keep them think and I said just a little bit thinner but keep the arch shape. Well turns out half of my eyebrows are gone! I'm scared they won't grow back because one of my friends had hers waxed when she was a teenager and they never grew in again. Will they grow back? And if so, how long will it take?

I think that the regrowth is different, for everyone. I'm sure it depends, a lot, on age and genetics and all that stuff. HOWEVER... have hope. My oldest daughter's brows were COMPLETELY REMOVED by an overzealous friend, a couple years ago. They DID grow back, but it took a long time. :(
A couple things she says helped... When you wash your face, each morning and night, use a soft toothbrush to exfoliate around your brows. Fill in the "gaps" as hair grows in, with a powder or pencil that closely resembles your brow color. Don't pluck or wax them, for at least one year... if you absolutely MUST, at least leave the ones that are closest to your existing brows, to let them grow back. Finally, brush your brows to make the most of the hair that is left, and give an appearance of volume until they grow back.
Best of luck!!!

Eyebrows always grow back no matter what you do to them.

They say the average is 56 days for hair to grow back.

They will re-grow back. You've had your brows threaded by the same place for years. I think you know the place well enough. Now you know that thinner isn't better but just a small change for now. You can fill in the gaps with a brow pencil ie. Brow Wiz or power but I prefer pencil better. It's pretty easy to do and you brush in a colour to match your own colour.

something that might help speed up the process is castor oil. Apply it at night before bed to your brows with a clean mascara brush.

Eyebrows don't stop "growing" back until you're much older, so I think you're safe.
|Takes years . . . on Jan 03, 2015 @ 09:18 pm|
For me, it took years of plucking the same areas of my eyebrows before the hairs didn't grow back. Have no fear.

When I was very young and stupid one of my girlfriends said my eyebrows needed thinning out so I let her shave my eyebrows. I was so upset she had shaven them right off. I had to use eyebrow pencil for a few months but they did grow back I am positive yours will too.
|eyebrows when your older on Jan 05, 2015 @ 02:19 pm|
I have went through menopause and my eyebrows are thinner and very sparse. They have not grew back and it's been 5 years since my complete hysterectomy. I have to use a fiber filler to even look like I have brows. Each one has it's own shape, no matter what I do. Mine is hormone related and my Ob-Gyn said that they won't grow back after it's been this long. I don't know. It's frustrating.

It is true what you said rogersresaca.I am going through Menopause myself and ever since it started about 10 yrs ago,I've been through everything possible. My eyebrows are thinning and the only sense I get is when I use a pencil. My eyebrows are not both the same, one is thicker than the other.Even my hair started thinning since this started.I often wonder if there are women who feel the way I do about Menopause. It plays with your whole system.
