Before going to bed use Secret Clinical Strength action Therapeutique. The next day you probably won't have to wear any other deoderant / anti-persperant at all. Even if you shower, this stuff lasts through that.
I like this 'cuz i can do it as part of my nightly regimen and don't have to think about it the next day.
Other than that I've tried dove and found it smells to sweet. I currently use Secret gel and its OK, i don't like the smell though, it smells strongly citrusy...
I'm looking for something to replace that so I'm also gonna be really interrested in seeing how others respond to this :)
Degree on Apr 05, 2009 @ 11:30 pm
I use Degree. I don't know why I've picked this one but I do for some reason. The only other one I've tried is Dove and I also didn't like that too much. Right now I use Degree Invisible, it's not totally invisible in my opinion, but it's fine for me.
I had a free sample of Degree Clinical (I think it's called that) and it seems similar to what Becky described for Secret Clinical. The instructions state to put it on before bed, no sweating in bed, and you're fine for the next day. I wouldn't wear it before going to bed but I would wear it in the morning and I'd be fine after a shower.
I might have tried Secret a long time ago but I don't remember.

Good deodorant on Apr 06, 2009 @ 01:13 pm
I like this one from Adidas with the cotton technologybut have found there is nothing that really works for 'nervous sweat'. There is sweat from the gym, sweat from a hot day... and then there is nervous sweat. Like big meeting/presentation/public speaking sweat. If I am nervous, FORGET it! I just have to keep my arms down and the hugs to a minimum. ;) Sorry for the over-share.
Question about the Secret Clinical Strength. Have any of you looked into how it is able to last so long? I.e what are the ingredients and could they be harmful? I'm always nervous to try something that stays with you for a long time because of that, but if it's safe I'd definitely want to try it.
Secret and Olay on May 03, 2009 @ 10:31 am
I use and currently love Secret Flawless Touch with Olay Conditioning Solid Deodorant. I use the one that soothes underarm irritation after shaving. I don't sweat a lot but do sweat and this keeps the pits on my shirts nice and dry, smells good, and moisturizes my underarms and makes them feel nice and not hurt after shaving, which always used to hurt and irritate my sensitive skin.
Degree! on May 12, 2009 @ 06:13 pm
I recommend Degee, as I find it lasts way longer than both Dove and Secret, and if you get a scented one, even the smell lasts for a long time. I really love this deodorant, though I will probably have to change because I have developped some sort of reaction to it. I started to get a red bumpy rash from my armpit to a bit of the arm connected to it. :(
I really like it though.
Degree Ultra Clear on May 12, 2009 @ 09:39 pm
I use Degree too. Use the one that says Ultra Clear/Little Black Dress approved (which means its not going to show if u wear black and no more white flakes as it goes on clear:)) Plus, u get it in various amazing scents. Currently using Pure Rain, personally, like the fresher scents and they last the entire day (with gym and everything)
P.S: Last time I read this intresting tid-bit at a beauty blog regarding anti-perspirants getting rid of ingrowns (wow!) anyone knw anything more abt this?? Sorry Silvercity for raiding your topic :)

I use Secret Clinical Strength too and it's amazing.
Dove on Jun 22, 2009 @ 04:59 am
I think Dove is ok but you should test a few ones on your skin, because like perfumes, it must suit your PH. And you will find which one is best..
And second, make sure that chosen one doesn't leave stains. :)
Reducing Sweat on Jun 30, 2009 @ 02:39 pm
A great way to reduce your actual sweat production is making a strong batch of black tea, and soaking a washcloth in it. Let the washcloth cool and then place it under each armpit for about 5 minutes. Repeat everynight for a week or two. Black tea has tannic acid that has been shown to permanently reduce sweat production. Also before applying deodorant in the morning, wash your armpits with a benzoyl-peroxide facial cleanser.

I used the Secret clinical strength therpeautic deodarant and i thought it was FABOULOUS! but im worried if it does damage to the normal sweat glands? Besides this it is great to wear for those special days that u do not want to be seen or feel sweaty at all! it goes on nice and dries very quickly, doesnt really leave any white marks. I used it at bedtimes like the label indicates but when i forgot to i also tried it in the mornings and it still worked just as great. It is long lasting and has a nice clean fresh scent to it.
