Shoes without socks. Hot trend for guys?

I went to a fashion event this past summer in Singapore, and one of the biggest trends for guys was dress shoes without socks. The pants were cut a little higher too, so you could clearly see the trend. I'm not sure how I feel about this, I mean it looked good on the models (but they were good looking) lol, but I could only imagine it would be really uncomfortable.

Any thoughts?

Not a fan. Shoes without socks is a "trend" that keeps coming back, but in different variations. And cropped pants? No way.

No way, not cool - I never need to see man ankle.
All I can think is how gross and sweaty feet can get after they've been in shoes all day that don't breath and how much worse it is when there are no socks to soak it up. grrrross!

The feet stick to the inside of the shoe (damage....) and their feet will smell without socks to wick moisture. Unless its summer and they are wearing sandals - guys wear the socks!!!

I love guys with manly feet in sandals (not flip flops!)

....umm what? Did you think I was going to love no sock cropped pants trend?? ewww no ..lol As you all said, I can smell it from here.. *shudder*. Not to mention, but imo it doesn't really look good!

I like guys that look good without looking like they're trying hard to look good. Sort of messy and sexy, know what I mean? I also love when guys clean up well.

Am I asking for too much?
