I have been on the search for really warm, thick sweaters that can be worn in the office and having a hard time finding something that doesn't have *shudder* acrylic, polyester or other static hair/b.o inducing cheap materials.
Has anyone found any lovely cozy sweaters that are thick that are made of the good stuff (i.e wool, cashmere, etc)?

One of my favourite sweaters I love is a black BCBG wrap cardigan made with Merino Wool. It goes with pretty much anything and the quality is excellent. Plus BCBG has done 50% of their whole store on boxing day the past few years so if they do it again the price will be more reasonable.
Mine is from last year but this one is almost identical:
I've also had good luck at Zara and The Gap for cozy sweaters - but I'm not too sure what the yarn is made from.
Anthropologie has some gorgeous knit sweaters right now. I'm lusting after this one

You are right there are some very cozy looking ones there. I'll have to swing by! I can't get warm enough in this weather! Am nervous for Winnipeg!
