I have a pile of cloths, in GREAT shape. They just don't do anything for me any more. Or they don't fit, or I bought them on impulse and never wore them. I even have a beautiful ball gown that I wore a couple of times, but will never wear again. I am considering taking them into a consignment store.
Has anyone does this? Does anyone have any tips? I'm not even sure how it works. Does the store give you money for your clothes when you bring them in and then they sell them for what ever they can get? Or do they give you a cut after they sell? How do they keep track of your items from others? Is the whole process worth it? Or should I just donate them?
Does anyone know any good consignment stores in the Toronto area?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance!

I've personally never taken my clothes to consignment shops because I always donate them several times a year but it makes a lot of sense for pricier items that are in great shape - especially evening wear. I've noticed a number of great shops on Ossington (North of Queen) and there is an adorable one on Jane street just North of Annette called Coco's Closet. I haven't been in there yet but every time I drive by I take a mental note of it.
Let us know how it goes and if anyone has any advice for Patricia, please do share!
