I'm heading out this weekend shoe shopping. Not a task that I enjoy but one I a must endure. I have a family wedding coming up and in need of some shoes big time. Usually I borrow a pair but I'm tried of that and I want to add some heels to my collection (which extremely outdated) I was looking online last night to get some ideas but I have been so out of the fashion loop (until I join this site) that I have no idea whats , what. I will probably be wearing a little black dress and was thinking of spicing it up with a pair of colourful shoes. Or should I get some black basics? Doesif anyone could offer some advice

I'm actually a big fan of The Bay for dressier shoes and heels and if you catch them on a sale day you can score some amazing deals. They also updated their site so that you can browse and shop online- very useful! I find that they always have a selection to fit any age and style.
You might also find something at Naturalizer. I briefly looked at the site and they have some sweet wedges out now, which are also great because you can totally get away with wearing them out shopping or to a wedding.
Also, don't overlook a place like Payless Shoes. They have designer collabs sometimes and their shoes are quite cute and affordable!

You can never go wrong with a little color! If you're feeling gutsy and daring, why not buy a show with color other than the same ol' black! Although, if your collection is as dated as you say, you will eventually need to invest in a decent black shoe! I just think that on a little black dress, a colored shoe gives you the opportunity to show your personality and spunk!

Thanks for your help ladies; I was torn between a pair of bright pink shoes and these sparkly black pumps. I decided to go with the back shoes. The heel on them is lepord print. I love them; they are still basic black but the lepord print really spices them up.
